Remote Viewing... outrageous scam or insighful wisdom?

Many of you have probably never even heard of it, if not check out this website: http://www.probablefuture.com/

Once you have or if you already know about it, what do you think about their claims as to the meaning and powers of delta and deep theta sleep?
I think we'd all agree that dreaming is far more powerful and meaningful than the "layman" believes, but what is the limit to the power? Is dreaming and luicd dreaming just helpful and fun, or does it have some "deeper" meaning? And/Or, for those of you familiar with him, what do you think about Jung and his theories about collective unconciousness and dreams?
What does anyone think about "ultimate meaning" in general.
      Are lucid dreamers religous?
I would say we (or maybe I'm just speaking for myself) are at the least spiritual or interested in the possibilities of this reality.

Well, to be honest, I haven't read everything on that site, but if you're asking me what I believe about dreams, well...

Because of my spirituality, I believe that the mind is a telescope, not a kaleidoscope. That is, that what we see actually exists -- somewhere out there, close or far, but it does exist. In dreams, we, our souls, our essences, actually travel somewhere, to some other dimension, for a short while. But beyond that, I don't think that there is much to it. We are just there to have fun, and take advantage of these "dream dimensions" in which the normal and sometimes painful or fatal laws of physics do not apply to the extent that they do in our waking world.

No, I don't think that spirituality or religion has much to do with your average lucid dream and dreamer, however. It's all about the fun of doing weird, crazy, cool, and sometimes otherwise impossible things ^_^

I would like to welcome you to dreamviews Michaelis42

There to me seems some pretty far out things. But I will not speculate on what other people can or cannot do. Because I know how narrow minded I was before I learned to Lucid dream. Now it seems that every time I turn around somthing new happins that I would have never felt possible. So my conclusion is to never rule anything out. Even when I do not whole hardedly believe it, I will just say to myself, that is interesting, rather than ..Aaaaaahhh that's BS.

Same thing with me! Before I was a no nonsense kind of a guy, I believed in physical hard proof science, I didn't believe in all that "psycho babble" and I laughed at the idea of astral projection. Well when someone I respected mentioned lucid dreaming, I had to look into it, then a week or 2 later I experienced my first lucid dream, and now my outlook on life has changed, if someone says "IMPOSSIBLE" I say ahh maybe...

I find it interesting that both the Soviets and the US had supported this. However i heard the US dropped the project back in 97' i think.. don't quote me on that, but I think it was a failure although it may have become more secrative, because that was about the time the media caught wind of it.

I've said it many times: there are many things in this world we do not know, this is one of them.

Well one thing is for certain, if it is possible, there is little doubt that the superpower's governments would not try to exploit it.

The project was terminated a while ago, yes, because of inconclusive results. I suppose it could of just been an success and they set that up as a bit of a front, but I doubt it. It was terminated many years ago, and I'm sure somebody would of 'squealed' to the press about now if it was real. People can't resist the money the press wave under their noses, you know?
