Ok, so I know I haven't been here much as of late even though I promised myself I'd work on WILDing but with looking for work among other things I haven't really the time.

So one night I lay down and drift off and have a DILD sometime early in the morning. It begins as I become lucid within some kind of dark cave with a single tunnel running through it. I look around and I see a man standing before me and he's holding stick with the top of it alight. As the fire from his stick lights the cave up somewhat I look around and notice the cave is covered in writings, diagrams and pictures of orbs/planets and the human body. I look at the writing and even though I don't read it the words look readable. I say to him, "I thought in a dream the words are all messed up?". He nods and replies "I can make it that way". He holds his hold toward the wall and the words move, bend and shift. I then ask "How do lucid dreams work?". He starts talking about a whole bunch of information that went over my head but noticed he mentioned a few names of chemicals that inhibit dreams. Furthermore I asked "And at the point of death?". He smiled and said "It leaves the body. The worlds first superhero was a potato". I'm now in my living room and he's before me. My vision is rippled but I focus and stabilize it. I see my sister nearby and as I talk to him I find myself trying to force the words out of my mouth. I speak slowly at first then trail off with the rest of the question being asked out in my mind. The question I ask is "At separation what if someone doesn't know what to do?" He begins to answer but the dream fades.


First off, even though I woke up laughing in the context of the dream the potato comment kinda makes sense.


A few weeks ago I was reading William Buhlman book about OBEs and he talks about someone coming to guide him within dreams. I guess I must have picked it up from that. Then again, at this point in understanding dreams I don't see this experience as something spiritual but more of a residue from something previously read. But who am I to say so? I guess I'm still learning about LDs and myself and will ultimately come to a conclusion. However this LD has kick started me into coming back to it. I have the time now and may throw my hat into the ring and start taking this journey once again.
