Thread: Not so sure about first LD? :S

Hi guys, I'm new so this is my first post, so here goes...

I think I had my first lucid dream about a month ago but I'm not really sure. I've known about LD's for a while now but I've never really put that much effort into it... I've always had good dream recall so I haven't started a dream journal or anything (yet). I'm lazy :]

So, to keep it short, I had this dream where me and my friend went to a small club, and the girl taking money at the entrance was flirting with me and ended up giving me lots of money for some reason. I was on my way to the bar to buy a few drinks when I just started dancing in front of a mirrored wall and I noticed that my reflection took a few seconds to catch up with how I was actually moving and then that's where I think I went lucid. I've never practiced RC's or anything but the whole experience just felt like it came into focus and I got a bit of a rush. So I saw that girl dancing and I ran to her (felt like I was running super fast) but then everything kind of faded and I woke up and my heart was beating real fast... think I just got too excited at the thought of being lucid!

Anyway I'm only half sure I was lucid 'cos I'm thinking I could maybe of just dreamt I was lucid? I'm not sure but I thought I might as well share it and see what anyone thinks, thanks for reading!

Start a dream journal. It will help in many ways. :]

From what you described, it sounds like you knew something was wrong with reality, but you didn't know what it exactly was. You nearly realized you were dreaming, so you were nearly lucid.

Sounds lucid to me... And a very good one since you had a rush of clairity.
