      Taking advantage of subconscious messages

      Wasn't sure where to post this but I guess I'll put it here and make it clear the implications it might have towards lucid dreaming.

      When I smoke weed I frequently have strange thoughts of words springing up in my head, as a concept that I barely comprehend, and whenever I try to write down this feeling it comes out as emotions relating to more than one word.
      For example, before last night, the main words I remember are, Super, Terry and Tangle.

      I figured these subconscious messages were my brains tendency to manipulate my knowledge of language to try and communicate my own emotions to me.

      So last night I'm not exactly sure what I did, but I somehow just, blanked my mind and began typing as the emotions from these words flowed through me, and I typed the correct letters to describe what I was thinking;
      Supbermentdthari Tayngle (Sup-Ber-Men- th'dari, Tangle)

      I tied each part of the word to a meaning I knew my brain would know I'd easily understand and came up with sup implying saying whats up, as a greeting or form of social interaction, supber together reminds me of eating supper a lot, which implies food. ment is related to meant and meaning, to convey the meaning and significance of advanced thought, the "thari" part although it sounds strange references a person I know named terry who we often call silly, which to me is just a message of the sillyness that overcomes us while high, which I've determined is represent and tangle I guess means the jumbling and tangling up of all this. and all these traits are present when my friends and I smoke weed, so that's what I believe this word means. A word to describe the emotions and atmosphere present in my weed smoking life.

      NOW! what this has to do with dreams is that, if I can take these subconscious word/feelings when I'm awake, how much more could I potentially have access too in my dreams? I could storm up an entire library of new words and remember then and write them down. Hell I probably have a whole other language in my head waiting to be recorded!

      The translation of the word seems vague and unthorough, but I think because it's my own creation, the very first emotions I tie each word too are sufficient to translate it's meaning to me.

      So what do you think? comments, thoughts, suggestions?

      Do you need to be aware that you are dreaming to do this? Wouldn't a non-lucid state produce words that are truer to the "subconscious"?

      Aside from that, this seems to be a spin on normal dream interpretation, but with nonsense words. I bet you could get them in hypnogogia, too.

      I figure to actually find the words I might have to be lucid, just to know that I have to do it, but simply suggest to myself to let more subconscious things come through, like.. conjuring up a peice of paper and saying to myself, "there is a subconsciously generated word on the other side of this sheet of paper" then flip it over and see what it says.

      The hypnogogia idea seems logical too.

      I was thinking it might be cool to just 'meet' my subconscious in person, in a lucid dream, and maybe ask some questions or interact. I'd have to accept that their figure might not be concrete or definite and that I wouldn't be able to understand everything. But I think it could be a great experience if I really commit my mind to connecting to my subconscious in this manner.

      I think that would be pretty cool too. I just imagined them having a laptop with them, and on the screen displaying the tasks your subconscious is performing, such as heartbeat and breathing. And they could potentially tell you things about yourself that may be covered in your waking life by social rules and the act of lying to one's self.

      yeah. i think the most difficult part would be to make sure your subconscious is giving information rather than an over-eager ego

      speaking of laptops, i saw a cartoon somewhere where someone trained themselves to be able to type while unconscious, i.e. inside a dream. now that would be crazy
      probably not possible though..
