I can't recall ever doing so, but I've heard at least twenty other users here say they have.
Not uncommon at all.

when I was about 7, I remember talking to a DC at school, and we were friends. I remember telling him i needed go because the dream was fading away, i went back to sleep and started talking to him again. maybe i was younger than seven, i dunno. anyway, I had a lot of lucid dreams before I heard of it. I just never thought about it much until just recently.

First time I was about 5 or so. I was in front of one of the houses down the street from me. It looked the same except that it had 3 floors instead of 2. Something was goin on inside the house and all the ligts were on. I remember something was scaring the crap out of me, and I somehow knew that if I closed my eyes and jumped off their front steps I would wake up. I tried it and on the third try I woke up.

A number of years later, not sure when this was, I think I was about 9 or 10, I was dreaming that I was at some family party, but I never actually saw anyone's face except for one of my uncles. I don't recall the dream very well, but at some point we were all sitting around in a dark room and I realized I was dreaming. The first thing I did was pinch myself . Later I remember sort of floating over a room that looked like something out of a lodge (bare wood tables and benches, stone fireplace, deer head on the wall, etc.) in the middle of the building I was in.

I seem to find the jumping off things(Especially high things) wakes me up. I used to do that when I knew I was gonna get it!

I have had several LD´s before I started to reasearch on the subject and came to post on forums etc. I found the experience so awesome that it started to google on it and from there, found some websites, etc etc. That was around 7 years ago though :p ...

I just recognized I was dreaming a lot as a kid...

Took a long time until I did anything.
