      Spinning... weird?

It seems when i daydream during normal waking consciousness, i can visualize an imaginary scene just fine, (its not very realistic, though) but when I'm relaxing, like in bed, as soon as i think of something, i cant form it, because as soon as i visualize it it starts spinning out of control around me. weird, huh? but here's something even stranger: when I'm really relaxed , like right before i fall asleep, and just upon waking up, i can visualize a scene just fine, but it for some reason seems more realistic, almost as if I'm actually there looking at it. I'm wondering why is there such a difference.

So, when you're awake, you can visualize, when you're super relaxed you can visualize, but when you're moderately relaxed, you can't? Might have to do with the brain waves you're dealing with. Sounds like beta and theta are good for visualizations (beta is waking, theta is deep, as in hypnogogia), while alpha is for a less focused relaxation.

I'm sure there's more than one take on this, though. More than a single factor involved, including external stimulus during the attempts, as well as if the visualizations are made at a specific time each day (circadian rhythms/conditioning).

Yes yes. More than one thing.
      Bollocks.
