Angry (Hey I'm new) Problems with false awakening. :(

I'm new to this forum but I've actually had quite a lot of experience with lucid dreaming. I can't do WILDs yet but I know about lucid dreaming and all. But one problem I often come across during false awakenings is, I can't get my blanket out of my face! Even if I leave my bed the blanket is still like plastered to me. I know, stupid right? I've tried jumping, spinning, whipping around really fast, tearing it, closing my eyes and counting to ten... it just won't go!

Well from what I've heard control comes in time. I have yet to master this too but I would suggest doing stuff like, as stupid as it sounds, asking the blanket to leave. If that doesn't work then see if you can grab some flame, like a lighter or candle, and burn it off. Hope that works

When I wake up, or think I wake up, I try to go back to sleep immediately so I can continue dreaming. If it's a false awakening, you'll go directly to HI. If it's not a false awakening, you'll just see dark.

I accept that I have no control over the blanket. And just continue on with the lucid dream as best I can, ignoring it. It always fades away in time.

Firstly, look down at the blanket and imagine it isn't there. You could try and ask it politely to disappear. Try asking a DC to pull it off of you. Just try a wide variety of things. Good Luck to you!
