Whenever I watch TV and fall asleep with it on, chances are I just might wake up in a couple of hours. After waking from sleeping about 4 hours, I went back to sleep. I tried to meditate for a while but got tired and quit. After waking up I realized I had a lucid dream but it was very short. It went like this: I was walking down a street. I waited for a car to cross and as I crossed I noticed I was carrying a gun in one of my hands. At this point I knew I was dreaming since I don't own a gun. I decide to test it out and hit a stop sign. As soon as I pulled the trigger, I hear proceeding gunshots (From the police). I got hit by a car speeding by really fast but I just started floating up like there was no gravity. This floating thing has also happened when I had other lucid dreams of me and another car. I wokeup soon after. What can I do to keep from getting excited/scared in order to increase the longevity of my lucid experiences? It just all felt too real to even distinguish from reality. Also, I have not been keeping a dream journal as of late but I have noticed that I have been recalling my dreams with ease...should I use my dream journal?
Any comments/advice would be gladly appreciated
