      what WILD really is

right, through my past experiences in this forum I have learned that trying to stay absolutely still while trying to WILD is incorrect, and all of these induction techniques (including the latest reverse blinking technique) all aim at allowing you to keep some sort of awareness. So I now think it's laughably simpler

      WILD= wake induced lucid dream

all it really requires is, that you fall asleep with a clear head (not allowing the usual flood of random thoughts (and later images) to carry your consciousness away from you)... that is it

but what do I know I've only had 3 or so and they were ages ago- this is just my theory. but yeah- I'll just practice falling asleep "aware"- since that is the essence of what a WILD is, perhaps by focusing on breathing and bodily sensations dunno...

Yeah, isn't it just waiting and searching for the "aha erlebnis" the point where you say, AHA this is it.

Maybe a WILD technique is also personal just like others.

Keep us updated if you find your AHA erlebnis. I will post mine when I found it.

      Good luck

Nope. The key to the WILD is falling asleep. First and foremost. Awareness and retaining consciousness is secondary to that.

Also, it's totally fine to allow randoms thoughts to occur, because that's generally part of falling asleep. If you do that, though, then you either have to be a passive observer of those thoughts or let them carry you away just far enough to be become conscious at the last possible moment.

Now, I've only had 27 WILDs, but I honestly haven't made that many attempts, and that makes my success rate fairly high.

I agree with yuriy. When i first decided to try and WILD a couple years ago, i read all that stuff about the body "testing" you to see if your asleep. And it trying to "trick" you and how you werent supposed to move a muscle, or swallow, because if you did everything was ruined.

      bull shit. in my opinion.

i have had like 20 somthing WILDs now. So yeah im still new, but i've had enough to know that there isnt some magical technique, and that all WILD is, is falling asleep, while being aware.

Wild is to separate from your body with your full consciousness.

seperate from your body? i think you are confusing WILD with an OBE my friend. WILD is a Wake Iniciated Lucid Dream its just a way to start a LD. you dont separate from your body

The best way I can describe how I do it is that I place a sentinel of intention to help recognize the transition into the dreamworld and snap me into full awareness.

Yep. I move all the time when I WILD. Not overly so, but I swallow when I need to and shift when I become uncomfortable.

Exactly. I beleive that OBE is the same as Wild

Definitely true. Some how when attempting wild I always end up thinking about people from work/school or nonsense, and it keeps me from getting the dream.
