Well I believe with practice one can access The Akashic Records through LDing, so perhaps you can recall former experiences by accessing the Records through a DC. For me, it always appeared as a very large book on a very large shelf though, because I've always associated books with knowledge, it might be different for everyone, who knows? None of my other friends are interested.

That's a really interesting question. I would guess that if those memories are in your subconscious somewhere, you could access them through a dream. I wonder how much your life experience and what you are expecting to hear/feel would color those memories, though. I think it's a great idea to try but I wouldn't count on the memories being accurate.

You can access past memories through meditation as well. But trying it in a lucid dream seems like a really interesting idea too.

For me the Akashic Records have been an enormous hall, dimly lit with golden light, high cathedral-like ceilings, with rows and rows of huge ornate books that tower to the ceiling. A few people were calmly flying around and looking through the books, as though they do this everyday. Everyone there had wings. I got the impression it was a place you could only visit if you have wings, but that you can sort of "pick them up at the door, and leave them on your way out" if that makes any sense. It was clear that everyone and anyone has the potential ability to visit this place and gain wisdom and knowledge, but they don't. Most are too blind to its existence. Also, there was some strange rule that I couldn't quite grasp. What you learn while you are there, looking through the records, you cannot bring back with you to 'this' plane of existence. "The books don't leave the library"...sort of deal. But what you learn there is never forgotten...and there is always a link connecting you in this world to it, if you know how to use that link...then you can access that information. Sadly I have yet to figure that out.

I've thought about trying this before, with the application of seeing a relative i've only seen once in my life several years ago when i was little (i'm 20 now). I can't remember what their face looks like, but i know that it's in my subconscious somewhere, and if i see it, i know that i'll recognize it. The only problem is that i'm afraid to try because i might miss them, and there is no chance that i could have anymore contact with that person (they're not dead). What would some of you do in this situation?

Absolutely don't be afraid to try for fear of missing this person. As I've uncovered more and more memories from childhood, being a toddler, and even a baby...I've discovered that the gift of a memory is quite possibly the most amazing thing I've ever received. It's definitely worth it.

Those are some good thoughts man... What if we could find out hidden desires, etc. through DC's? That would mean DC's are simply manifestations of the subconscious... which is trippy to think about. IF that is true... what does that say about settings in your dreams? Times of day... situations. Do these all say something about you and your current behavior or something? Haha idk I'm just rambling.

Thanks Aquanina. This isn't a topic that i can bring up around other people without creating an uneasy atmosphere. So the anonymity of a forum makes it easier for me to discuss this. Considering what you said, i only have one memory of this person and that was the one an only time i've seen them. It would be nice to see their face again, and maybe even re-live the moment in an ld. Although I'm still a little fearful, i might just give it a shot.
