Lightbulb (for ADVANCED dreamers) How do you set up your night? need practice schedule

I'd like to know from the advanced lucid dreamers how you set up your nights (or sleeping periods) to prepare and have one or more lucid dreams.
I'm just trying to come up with a good practicing schedule to get as many lucid dreams as possible! I really think that sticking to a good schedule would help a lot!

We already spoke, but I will go ahead and post my schedule here in case you want to look at it again.

I set an alarm for 4 hours after I think I will fall asleep. I then, if necessary, use reverse blinking/reading/relaxation to fall asleep. I fall asleep expecting to have a lucid dream. I then wake up once my alarm goes off and write down any dreams that I remember. I then set my alarm hourly or for every two hours for the rest of the night. I perform WILDs (if I'm not too tired or lazy) after my awakenings. Most the time I'm too tired and lazy, so I WILD mostly during naps. I make sure I write my dreams down as soon as I wake up, so I don't forget anything. Good Luck and I hope it works out well for you!

Note: I don't do this every night, just nights that I plan to do some hardcore LDing or nights that I don't have anything to do the next day/morning.

I combine both modern and old methods.

Before bed I perform some old occult rituals designed to strongly assert my will to become lucid. These are really just a stronger version of affirmations - their dramatic nature I just find bears better results.

Then I take 15 drops of calea extract in some fruit juice and take 5mg of melotonin plus a large dose of B3 and B5.

Melotonin knocks me out in a bout 20 minutes. So I set my alarm for 4 hours and 20 minutes. As I lay in bed falling asleep I train my prospective memory by repeating a mantra over and over to either remember my dreams, or realize I am dreaming, or I will WILD and hold on to my conciousness, or a combination of all.

When my alarm goes off I put on a 21gm nicotine patch. Plus take 900mg of Alpha GPC, 2 galantamine pills. 3 tabs of N-Acelty L tyrosine, 2 DMAE pills plus a little more B3 and B5.

The above combo gives me quite a large buzz that keeps me awake for about an hour - thus I need no other WBTB time. I use this hour to use relaxation techniques and auto hypnosis. As usual with WILD techniques I lie still in my usual sleeping position as I go through my relaxation routine. I then find HH's stating up plus dreamlets (very short vivid dreams where I am lucid but these only last a second or two) - sooner or later one of the dreamlets solidifies and off I go. OR sometimes I fall asleep but then normally DILD.

I dont bother writing my dreams after each one - I am practiced enougth that I can recall 4-5 dreams per night in detail in the morning.

SO far this week I have had 5 good lucids - a combo of DILDS and WILDS. Like th eposter above I take a night off every other night - to let the supplements work out my body and free dream.

I have experimented with just supplements and affirmations without the ritual and vice versa. I find one with out the other is less effective. Combining both normally gives me a 90% success rate.

Odd I know - but it works for me.

The word of sin is restriction - Thou hast no right but to do what thy will.

that's just plain wrong :O I don't think that's right for your body at all! I seriously hope this is just a weekly or monthly thing because that amount of supplements can destroy your body ( cancer among other things)

Depends what kind of lucid dream you're trying to have. Since I DILD (via MILD/RCing), I simply put in hard effort during the day and DJ during the night. Besides that, I don't do anything special. So really it depends which techinques you're using and what you're needing to accomplish (ie practice visualizing for MILD, WBTB for WILD, whatever).

      1. Read a chapter of a book
      2. Relax muscles
      3. Sleep using reverse blinking
      4. Wake up at 3, 4, 5, or 6AM
      5. Use reverse blinking to LD

      Success rate: 6/8 times successful
Methods used: King Yoshis tut, WBTB, RB

EDIT: I go to bed at 10PM usually.

I think by 'advanced' he just means people who have found success with a particular method, not people claiming to be the mystic gurus of LDing.

For advanced lucid dreamers I meant those that have frequent, long lasting and vivid lucid dreams and that can lucid dream almost on demand...or at least that's where I'm trying to get to.

Loaf, do you get up at night 3/4 times or were you just saying to pick the best time to wake up for a WBTB?

Well, I usually wake up in the early hours of the morning and try it then. Best times for me are 5 and 6AM. When I wake up I don't get up though. I fall asleep into an LD again.

So yeah. Pick the best time for you. Don't constantly get up.
