Okay, so just a few days ago I posted about my LD where when I took off some glasses, (Because it was really blurry, so I thought taking them off would help.) I woke up. Which really frustrated me. I didn't understand. |

I suggest you just keep working at it. Since you have only had 4 LDs, it isn't surprising that they haven't met your expectations yet. With experience you will become more and more advanced with your LDs. Upon becoming lucid, stay as calm as possible and perform some stabilization techniques. Once the dream is nice and stabile, carry on with some dream activity. After a bit, perform some more stabilization techniques (even if the dream seems stabile). Performing these stabilization techniques throughout the dream, may help you stay in the dream longer and enhance your experience. Also, don't forget to perform a RC upon waking from your dreams. Alot of times it may be a false awakening. Another thing, once you become lucid are you thinking/worrying about waking up? This can actually cause you to wake up sooner than you normally would have. Good Luck in your future efforts! Don't give up, you hard work will pay off in the long run |

Thanks for the advice. I am going to start RCing a lot more than I do now. |

I know the feeling. I remember when I first started LDing, I would perform a mad scramble to try and get as much done as possible, because I didn't think I would have much time. I think what helped me most was learning the DEILD technique. I then would calmly explore my LDs and not worry about waking, because I knew I could just chain one with DEILD if I felt myself waking up. I suggest looking into DEILD and next time you become lucid, try and perform one upon waking. Good Luck to you! |

With DEILD, do you remember the earlier lucids just as well as the ones just before you woke up? |
|
Yes, I usually have no problem remembering my first dream. As soon as I wake up, I write the events from my dreams in reverse order. This tends to help remember everything. Think of the last event, and then think, "What was I doing right before that? Well, what was I doing before that...and that...and so on." The more DEILDs you chain, the harder it will be to remember the early dreams. If I have a nice, long, enjoyable lucid, I won't DEILD more than once, so I won't forget any of my first dream. If the lucid was short and uneventful, I'll DEILD to the point I forget it, but I don't mind forgetting a crappy dream. One or two chains shouldn't hurt your recall as long as you write the dream down as soon as you wake up. I have remembered up to 4 chains before. |
