      Interesting Dream Experiment

      It occurred to me that it would very a very interesting Lucid Dream Experiment to attempt to deliberately experience synesthesia while having a lucid dream. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Synesthesia is a "blending" of the senses, such that one may experience a sound visually, or a number tangibly, etc. Some people have reported that they can "see music" while under the influence of LSD or some other psychedelic. I have experienced this myself, and I believe that it would be possible to recreate a similar experience in the dream state.

      I am going to try to experience different forms of synesthesia in my next few lucid dreams, and I encourage any other interested oneironauts to do the same and report back with your experiences. I have a feeling some very cool experiences can be had if I can get the hang of it.

      I experienced this last night while falling asleep. All of the sudden this guitar toon came and interrupted my thoughts. Eventually i kept "feeding" the music and adding my own sounds. I couldn't hear the music but it was "written" in my head but not with musical notes. It looked sorta like bubbles and there was this line... lol hard to explain but im sure that what you are talking about.

      My experience with music in dreams is that it's always super intense.

      BTW; you can also just take LSD in your dreams, I've heard it's awesome

      I have synesthesia already, I hear movements/animations. Even the animations to my right are noisy. I've actually wondered lately, if I have synesthesia in my dreams as well. I should find out!

      Yes, I have heard of many people trying this. I believe one of the tasks of the month (a while back, maybe a year ago) was to taste color. I remember reading someones dream where they picked up a red leaf and sucked the color off of it. Synesthesia is very interesting indeed, I will have to give this a shot.
