LD Recall, Do We Have More Than We Realise

Lets say that you recall 1 dream every night and have a lucid dream every 2 weeks (Me as an example), since people really have around 7 dreams a night, would you really be having a lucid dream every 2 days?

possible- however I usually wake up after my LD's and with quite a buzz at that. you could argue that if I say, loose lucidity in those that I don't remember that's why I don't remember them, or something, but I guess it would be speculation or philosophy. The alternative would be for everyone here to put several more LD's per week on account that "they might exist I just don't remember them"- I'd just focus on the stuff I can remember.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

If I understand your question correctly, you're basically asking about how often people remember lucid dreams.

I know for certain that I have more lucid dreams than I realize I have. Which, of course, is ironic, because if I know I have them, how could I not realize I had them?

Well, if you read LaBerge's "Exploring the World Of Lucid Dreaming," he discusses his concept of "shadow memories."

Occasionally, (in fact, quite often now) I have lucid dreams that I don't remember (due to my own laziness resulting in an extreme drop in dream recall) and I randomly remember bits of these shadow memories throughout the day.

Someone might say a word that triggers a bit of one of my dream memories from as long ago as a few days or even a week, and I'll slowly realize, "oh shit, I was lucid when that happened." It's a weird occurance, but it happens a lot!

I guess so. I hear that lucid dreams are actually easier to recall then non lucid dreams. But yea just like regular dreams you could have had a lucid dream last night, and not remember even a flash about it.
It took me a while to realize how important dream recall was to have lucid dreams.
