So I think I almost kind of nearly sort of did it?!

I'm really not sure, but here's what happened. I'll try to be brief.

I'd been having a pretty long dream last night, lots of running away from things. We got to this playground, and these cars filled with police and military showed up and they started pouring out...

And my dream-self stopped and said, "Wait a minute, this is weird..."

Then I looked at my hands and they were kind of melting/fuzzy/blurry and I said, "Okay, this is definitely a dream!"

I then told the police people to go away.

And said to myself, "Okay, now that I am lucid, what shall I do?"

The problem I am having here is this:
while this did happen, I'm not sure that I was actually in control - I don't know if I was lucid - or just dreaming of thinking becoming lucid - or if when you don't have much experience, you have such little control - ?

I then walked around the park a bit, and thought I was going to wake up so I started rubbing my hands together. Then I thought, "I should probably try something since I can do whatever I want. Maybe something to do with a hot chick."

I was in a train. There was a attractive and very busty young woman sitting on a seat and I asked myself, "Okay, how shall I do this? Should I sit next to her, or sit across from her? And see if I can pick her up."

I sat down... and thought I was going to wake up again. I rubbed my hands, and tried spinning... and then I woke up.

So I, er... don't know if I achieved anything or not. If I had any control... or if I just dreamed it all. The one thing that stands out, I guess, is that I asked questions. Throughout the dream I asked questions. This doesn't happen normally.

      Did I, or not?

If you were aware you were dreaming at any point, you became lucid. Dream control is a seperate thing. You can be totally aware you are dreaming, but have no control over what is happening in the dream. Once you know you can obtain lucidity, you should start working on control.

I have the exact opposite problem. I have many dreams where I can do what many people do in their lucid dreams. Fly, summon objects, change things about the dream, all without being lucid. I'm working on becoming lucid more than dream control because I know I got the control down, just not the awareness that I am dreaming.
