      Need Help with sleep paralysis.

      Ok, So I would like to know if I can cause myself to stay awake during sleep paralysis.
      So if anyone here could be as kind to give me some tips or point me tword something to read.
      This is not a discussion on why I would want to do this.

      Well something that i found very useful when i was first learning how to achieve SP was finding something to think about. Almost like role playing in your mind, just to keep it distracted till SP hits. If you find yourself thinking about it too much, it wont happen.

      I find that mantras help. Pick something that's short and simple, yet to the point. I use "I am dreaming" "I will remember my dreams" "I will become lucid" "I can control my dreams". Say them slowly with each breath. You could also count your breaths. The point is to keep your mind awake just enough to stay aware, so simple will do that. Anything long may make you focus too much and SP can become hard to achieve

      I started off counting my breaths and that did really well. Then I chanced to saying things and I'm just trying to find one that works best for me
