I think this would work, but only if you have someone else do it for you during REM. before sleep I don't think it would work.

yeah... I guess the water would dry by the time you are in the REM period if you put it before falling asleep.

Yeah :/ This is what I was worried about. That's also why I asked if anyone else had ideas besides water?

grow a mustache and use vick's vap-o-rub. If the stache is big enough it may take the scent 4-6 hours to reach your nostrils.

i use water to get lucid, but not in the literal sense.

i have many dreams involving a body of water and i reinforce them and associate them with lucidity.

maybe drink a lot of water before bed lol.

Maybe you could attach something to your face? Maybe attach some celetape covered in perfume to the tip of your nose? Sounds crazy but you never know.
