Could this have been a lucid dream?

So, I am new here (and never had a LD, apart from the possibility of the one I'm talking about) and I was wondering if one of the dreams I had last night could be considered a lucid one. I'm a bit confused about that particual dream because I can only remember part of it (due to how tired I was last night). Here is what I can remember:

The first thing I remember is just standing somewhere (I can't remember where or really any of the details). For some reason I decide to do a RC. I don't know why I did it, I just did (I have been doing them frequently in RL, so I could just be doing it as a 'routine'). Anyways, I'm pretty sure I looked at my hand, if I did it seemed normal. Then, I think I asked myself 'Are you dreaming?'. After that, I plugged my nose and tried to breath through it. I can't remember if I tried the hand through the other hand trick, but I don't think I did.

After the reality check failed (breathing while plugging your nose and mouth), I think I said 'I am dreaming'. Then, I'm pretty sure I asked 'Are you dreaming?' again, before repeating 'I am dreaming'. After that, I'm not sure if I became lucid or not, but I don't think anything got more vivid (it wasn't very vivid already, if I remember correctly).

I remember that after sometime (30 seconds maybe), everything started to fade to black. I tried to calm down (not that I wasn't calm already), and try to 'stay lucid' (can't remember how I did it, but I didn't spin).

After everything faded to black I'm pretty sure I had a FA. After I 'got up', I realized that I should have spun, and said to try to remember doing it next time.

      That's all I can remember.
      Thanks.

Yes, this was a lucid dream, since you realized that you were dreaming. You probably just had a low-level of lucidity. Congrats

Yay! Thanks. Any suggestions on how to increase the vividness of the [lucid] dream? What about meeting your 'dream guide' and asking them to help you have more frequent lucids?

To increase your lucidity, try rubbing your hands or simply focusing on your surroundings. For your dream guide, I would ask a DC (dream character) that you see frequently in normal dreams to make you lucid when you are normal dreaming. Good luck

Ok, I'll try. I didn't exactly have much control in the lucid dream but it only lasted for a few seconds anyways.

Don't worry! It will all become easier in due time! Take pride in the fact you had an LD, if only for a few seconds.
