It is possibly to hurt someone in real live While Dreaming?

I heard that if for example you are hitting something during a Lucid Dream you might as well being hitting something (I don’t think my wife would like that) in real life. Do you remember when children go to bathroom in their dreams and they are actually wetting their real world bed?

Most people have SP (sleep paralysis) while they are asleep, which effectively prevents you from "acting out" your dreams with your real-life body. However, for some people this does not seem to work properly -- like with sleepwalkers. So if you are prone to sleepwalking or the like, then it's possible you could hurt yourself or someone else while dreaming. But for most people, this is not an issue.

Unless you have significant problems with acting out dream actions in real life already, I doubt lucid dreaming will make much difference. It's essentially no different, except that you have a higher degree of consciousness. The system that activates SP will still function normally.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

I watched an interesting program about this, people have committed murder and stuff in their sleep, without the realization of their actions, pure primal instinct I guess….. Its fascinating how this one guy used to go downstairs make himself a sandwich, eat it, then go back to sleep without knowing what he had done (lol). Some guy went psycho on his pillow, when asked what he was doing, he was protecting himself from aliens (crazy stuff). I usually act out speech, not actions, I said Merry Christmas in my sleep, as a friend notes, when it was June (lol).

As everybody else has said, Sleep Paralysis is there to stop you from doing things like this. I certainly wouldn't want to get married to a woman, sleep with her and just about to doze off when she punches me in the face screaming "TAKE THAT CUPCAKE MANANAN...gghh...". In fact, that would be rather intresting...

Anyway, I guess you could hurt somebody if you suffered from sleepwalking and the like, but I expect it's a pretty rare occurence. Murdering people in your sleep - probably dosen't happen. For example, a husband and wife don't often dream about murdering each other (because they love each other, duh), so if they suffered from sleepwalking, they probably wouldn't act out anything like that. Even if they did they would probably stop.

And it's not every day you sleep near to somebody you dream about murdering. So, yeah.
