      quieting your mind

      hi guys,
last night i managed to achieve sleep paralysis, in an effort to get into a WILD, but as soon as i got into SP my mind starting working overtime and even though i tried to focus on what i wanted to dream about and keeping on the conscious/unconscious boundaries i couldn't hold it and ended up waking up again,
has anyone got any tips on how to keep calm and quiet mentally at that point?
      cheers!

      Hi fieldy,

This is something that takes practice. The good thing is you can practice it whenever you find you have a spare moment, that way you will be better prepared when you try WILD. When you find some spare time, close your eyes and clear your mind. You will find that over and over again, thoughts will creep in. As they do, dismiss them.

I have an alternate thing for you to try when WILDing. Instead of trying to clear your mind, do some visualization instead. This will focus your mind on one thing and help you relax. A few helpful things to visualize for WILD are flying or riding down a small river in a raft. Try to focus fully on the visualization, see it, hear it, fell it, smell it!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
