      I need a Pandora NERD.

To tell me what's wrong with my VILD/MILD ( I think that's what it's called.)

Alright so you know the scene with the jelly-fish kinda trees. Where they, erm... you know.

I chose this to get into lucidity though because of the dialogue.

So we run across the tree root and i yank her tail (this is how I remember the film.)
      She turns around laughs.

I stop, smell the air, and dig my feet into the moss on the roots.

She tells me to come on and shows me the tree.

"This is where prayers are heard, sometimes answered.. This is where you may always do a reality check."

      hehehe.

I had nothing of the sort as a dream.

I have kept it exactly as it goes, I just changed four words. I've seen it about five times so I shouldn't have any trouble visualizing it?

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong that's causing me to not get this? I didn't move an inch all night. Occasionally one muscle in my body would twitch. Anything to do with SP?

I didnt evne know you had muscles above your shin. @_@

Or is there any way I could improve this scene?

Well, the visualization seems fine to me. Maybe you could try to just let it flow instead of fine-tuning every last detail. Try some relaxation techniques before your next attempt, see how that works for you.

      Also, Avatar FTW!

Like, if you're having trouble drifting off even though you stay still all night, maybe you should try some progressive relaxation or take a hot bath or something before your next attempt, just to relieve excess tension in your muscles. Also you could try this as a WBTB, you'll probably have greater success.

I can try it right before I go to bed and then every time I wake up? Or just once after I wake up in the middle of the night?

A great one is lying still for awhile, then flex the muscles in your feet for a few seconds, then move up to flexing your calves, then your quadriceps, etc until you've reached your neck muscles. After doing this once or twice you'll feel a lot more relaxed and I find it MUCH easier to ignore the occasional itch or twitch when trying to WILD.

As far as recreating that scene goes, just be diligent about it. It's most likely going to take some time, WILD has a steep learning curve.

I had a LD my first night and an unclassified layer of Lucidity that same night. It's not anythign Reece describes.

Once I get really good at this, we should schedule our sleep times on the weekend and ride banshees together? hahaha.

No harm trying before you go to bed, but you'll probably have more success after waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning.

I don't even get an urge to twitch or anything. No warning it's coming. It just twitches. Just one quick flex. Only one muscle at a time it's pretty weird.

So just keep trying the same way over and over again. Just repetition helps?

I had a streak going a couple nights ago. Then I lost it D:

I, personally, don't do anything that complex. I just focus on my breathing.

I don't see it complex at all. I just keep replaying the scene in my head!

I get the same thing, just ignore it and let the twitch pass.

What I mean is keep trying to WILD and see what works for you. While the process is always the same, everyone has their own little ways to help them achieve lucidity. My friend says she completely relies on hypnagogic imagery to shape and enter her dreams. I get hardly any HI, I just know when I've hit sleep paralysis and from there I just "sit up" with my dream body and I'm on my way.

Keep experimenting and learning more on this site to see what works for you. (Reece Jones is how I learned about all this too, he's a real cool dude.)

      Thanks.

Does reece happen to be on this forum? hahaha.

What should I do before I go to sleep at night normally? I'm getting that my VILD should be attempted after I wake up at night.

I have to go to sleep on the next hour. 10PM EST.

What should I try? That's an hour earlier than normal.
