Putting a picture of a character(you want to meet) under a pillow before sleeping on the bed

I heard from few of my friends suggesting putting a picture of a character under the pillow, then you sleep. This will contribute to your ability to meet the character. Is this true?

I guess by doing this, the thing you want to dream about becomes more attached to your sub-c. If you believe that it will work it will. Never tried it though.

Sounds possible, but I warn you do not attempt this with a textbook before a test. Osmosis unfortunatly doesn't work here.

I'd say this sounds possible. Just how autosuggestion works for some people; if you tell yourself your going to dream about something particular, you can dream about it. Except in this case, rather than repeating a mantra over and over for autosuggestion, your just placing a photo of somebody you'd like to dream of under your pillar. It's the same concept, just without repetaing the mantra aloud. It's embedding something into your subconscious.

This sounds like a form of Dream Incubation. @everyone seeing this thread: I'm still trying. No success yet. If it's getting hopeless for me, maybe I'll trying sticking the picture to a wall near my bed instead.

I put a note saying i will LD tonite and it worked!! Inspired idea from this thread so thank you it broke my dryspell.

However, this thread is not just about LDing by putting a note (that you will LD) under the pillow. It's about using a picture of a character that you want to meet under the pillow. Its a lot harder to purposely meet the character you want in your LD, than just LDing. That applied to me. Your post gave me an idea though. I'll add the sentence, "I will LD and remember to ask "insert character's name" to hang out with me tonight" to my picture. Thanks. I'm gonna post who the character is in this thread when I succeed with this method I wanna meet the character badly :/
