Well, tried the wake back to sleep thing... Woke up at 4, stayed up for a half hour, then layed down waiting for SP to come, or whatever... Not entirely sure what was meant to happen... |

Your first few WBTB attempts should be a little rough as you (and your body) sort of figure things out. When drifting back off to sleep, the goal is to do it consciously. Focus on your breating, or the hallucinations, or anything that will either tie you to reality or remind you that you are dreaming. The general idea is that once SP develops, you start hallucinating, and these should ultimately turn into a dream. If you are able to fall asleep consciously (either with an anchor or by remembering that you are dreaming), you should have a lucid dream. I'm not a WILD expert, though...if you like, you can also try using WBTB with the MILD method if the WILD doesn't work out for you. |
you could also try adjusting how long you stay up during the wbtb. I would advise shortening your time by 5 to 10 minutes to see if you'll be able more relaxed than the first time. |
When you wake up just take care of some things that you may need to do. Use the bathroom, get a drink, let the dog out, go back to bed. |
Yeah I always find electricals wake me up, so I'll just read a chapter of a book or something next time. |
