With most DILD techniques it's practically impossible to say, specifically, what it was that made you lucid and what technique you successfully used. Personally I consider a DILD a DILD. It's very rare that you can actually narrow it down to the induction technique. I speak of DILD induction techniques more in terms of how you should practice and what you should do while awake, not so much which one managed to get you lucid, just because the lines are so blurry. If the thing you are chanting a mantra to and visualizing for your MILD goes as planned in the dream or you specifically say to yourself, "Wait, there's something I'm supposed to remember... oh yea, next time I see people, I'm dreaming!", then you can probably safely assume it was MILD. If you just noticed something was odd, Awareness. If you saw a common dream theme, it was using a dreamsign. If you somehow had to reality check.... you see what I mean? They're usually just not that specific, at least in my experience. There's just tons and tons of overlap with the DILD techniques. Most MILD use a reality check, you have to be attentive to notice your dream signs, lots of people reality check regardless of technique, etc. That's why in my LD count you'll only see 'DILD'.

Isnt a DILD/MILD, when your in a dream and from there you become lucid or if you do a RC or something makes you realise your deaming.
My lucid didnt start from any dream, i didnt have any dreams before this lucid the whole night. So its not a dild or mild, but becasue i said to myself that i want a lucid dream could that be a mild ???

The reason people are saying 'MILD' is because MILD uses prospective memory. Everyone is throwing that out because you are saying 'i said to myself that i want a lucid dream'.

DILD just means, yes, the lucidity happened while you were already asleep/in a dream.

So you were laying down, unconscious, and then realized you were dreaming? DILD
Or, you were laying down, remained conscious, and knew you were dreaming? WILD
