Lucid dreaming is just not working!!

I dont understand..i try so hard..and even have just tried to let it happen..but no matter what..when i go to sleep..and dream.. I am ASLEEP..there is no other way to explain it, i just cant seem to realize i am in a dream, and ask myself "am i dreaming " ( which i do in real life to help with my dreams ) I can barley remember the detail of my dreams latley as it is..like i used to..let alone take control in them..and it is getting to me....i feel like I am so lost without knowing whats going on..anyway, that was my vent for today!

I'm with you on that. But still, try spicing up your attempts. Even just try setting off 3 seperate alarms on your iPod on weekends - just a simple something that disrupts your sleep pattern and wakes you up a bit inside.

You have the rest of your life, there's no rush.

It took me 6 months to have my first lucid dream. Persistence pays off.

You sound like you're trying too hard. I suggest you to keep your expactation of having an LD joyful and light hearted. Most people who try hard feel some heavyness, and a bit embarrassment, by the frustration of not having their first. Never let any failure or starting dryspell gives your practice a heavy feeling. Sooner or later you'll do it. But you have to be comfortable with your effords first.

On the first day i found about lucid dreaming i tried my best to learn about all the techniques and all of the methods, and decided to try to do it the next day. The next day i tried to wild before i slept and for the first time in my life had H.I and experianced WILD and was on the brink of having a lucid dream but because i didnt have any experiance i got scared and pulled out.
The thing is you have to tried hard to have a lucid you cant just wait for one to happen.
