Hypnagogic Imagery With Eyes Open??

Hey it was just earth hour in NZ. I was sitting outside and had a little smoke. I looked into the sky and then started wondering if I could see HI with open eyes. I started concentrating and I could. I could form circles triangles and squares and also change colours from blue to white and red. It didnt seem any harder than with my eyes closed. I wonder if looking at the night sky makes it easier. But trying to concentrate now it seems just as easy on the wall. It gets harder trying it looking at my desk because there are lots of different colours I think. Anyone else experience this?

What you're talking about are simply hallucinations you got from smoking weed, I think.

Um nah I dont think so... Iv never hallucinated from smoking weed before, its just not possible. But when I smoke weed I do find my hypnagogic imagery increases, thats why it is easier to do while high but I can do it right now also. It realy has nothing to do with the weed. Can anyone else do this with your eyes open?!

I can't do it at will, but after getting these images with my eyes closed once, they became really disturbing so I opened them, and they continued without check. Had to really concentrate to get rid of them

Did you know that THC is actually classed as a hallucinogen? On topic, I've had hypnagogia with my eyes open before for no apparent reason before - might have been minor sleep deprivation?

Dude, I think it might mostly be the weed. I had a lot of minor hallucinations when I smoked before. But if it is happening while you're not under the influence then I'm not sure. Are you waiting for HI to arrive with your eyes closed? Are you in the dark? Sometimes when I lay in bed for a while and start to see the swirls of HI and I open my eyes they will still be there, but thats only if its really dark, and I can't control them.

I've had HH with my eyes open once before. It was kinda creepy, since I'd just woken up and it took me a little while to realize what was happening, but also pretty cool. In any case, it's definitely possible.

Yea I cant normaly see it but if I concentrate I can see it. Its definatly not the weed because I can see it now. In the dark makes it easier and nah my eyes arent closed and waiting for HI. I just randomly concentrate and can see it. Iv started getting better at controlling HI with eyes closed so keen to see if I can get good with eyes open. Also if I dont concentrate I can never see it, iv realy gotta be trying
