How exactly can a dream journal improve Lucid Dreaming?

I really don't get this. I never owned a dream journal before. And sometimes I have really awesome dreams that I would like to remember. But I can't remember them. How can a dream journal improve lucid dreams and dreaming all together? Do they really work? I need some help on this. Somtimes if its a really cool dream I can remember it, Sometimes I can't remember them. How can I get a dream journal also? I'd rather own one then writing my dreams down online. I would appreciate if experts or anyone who has knowledge to help a guy out. Thanks. I would ask this on Yahoo! Answers. But I'm afraid that I'll get flamed and trolled. And if you write the dream down in the journal. Can you have the same dream again the next night? I don't know how this all works. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread ^^

      Dream Journals aid in dream
recall, which makes you discover common Dream Signs, which in turn helps induce
      lucid dreams.

Any thing could be your Dream Journal. A normal notebook, a computer, or even your phone.

If you'd like to keep one on your PC, you can download Banhurt's dream journal.

Almost every one use it here on DVs.

As for the last question, I don't think so.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out later. I can't use an online one because I don't have my own computer yet. I have to use my moms. Hopefully I can experience a lucid dream soon.
