      Stop waking me up!

I don't know if any of you have the same problem or similar problems and this one isn't related to being woken up while in a dream, this one is related to PARENTS. GRRRRRRR.

Anyway, I go to college on tuesday, thursday and friday. I have monday and wednesday off for the moment untill I get a part time job to help run a car and on my days off I like to stay in bed because I have my best dreams around 8am-10am or so I beleive. So you're thinking, where's the problem? Well, my parents think i should be awake at 9-9.30am ish otherwise I am concidered lazy.

This ruins my dreams and stops me from having more vivid LDs, some of you may suggest napping for them but I never manage to fall asleep when napping, i just seem to rest.

On rare occasions however I am allowed to stay in bed for a little longer which really helps. As for weekends, I have to be awake on a saturday to coach my under 8s football (soccer if you're american ) Team and sunday i have football myself so my weekends aren't too good for staying in bed either.

Any help on this subject, any way of inducing a dream is appreciated.

      Thankyouuu.

      bloody hell?!

hey man. i got a suggestion. move out! if finances don't allow for that try talking to your parents and informing them that you are an adult! you can decide when to wake up for yourself! that's all i can really say. sorry if that's not helpful, but that's seriously just a personal issue that only you can solve.

Thanks for your responces, they're appreciated.

I would tell them not to wake me up but then they go on about how I need this kind of dicipline to be able to wake up for work and all this other crap.

Additionally, they think lucid dreaming is a farce which is really frustrating. I can't wait untill they have one and they beleive me. Maybe then they will let me stay in bed.

Hey tombag, I am also an active scholar, as well as an athlete.
Recently, I have been very busy and have been trying to get an LD, because I have never had one yet.

I have a suggestion though, try doing a whole lot of reality checks, and then trying to form a habit out of it. Then, you are more likely to get a lucid dream in a normal dream by doing an RC in your dream. This way, you can potentially get it during your regular sleeping hours.

Show them the book of Stephen Laberge so they don't go into the farce part?
Anyway, try going to sleep earlier?

And I understand your problem... I have school from 7am-8pm from mon-tues and 11am-9pm fri... imagine the huge problems that alarms cause, along with lack of sleep <.<
