Thread: Lucid Dreaming Documentery?

Hey, I was thinking about throwing together a lucid dreaming documentery. All I would need is for you guys to answers these questions in front of a camera. (This would be ment to introduce new people to lucid dreaming.)
Questions:
What is Lucid Dreaming?
Why should people have lucid dreams?
Why do you have lucid dreams?
Can you describe some lucid dreams you've had?
What are some steryotypes about lucid dreaming that annoy you? (drug use, satonic, ect.)
What are some problems preventing people from getting into lucid dreaming? (most likely going to invovle steryotypes)
What are dreams?
How can you lucid dream (DILD, WILD, ect?)
Any other thoughts?

What I need from you is video of you answering the questions, using the question in the answer. I will then splice that with screenshots of dreamviews and other LDing sites to make a documentery, to try to get people into LDing. The finished product would then uploaded to a dedicated dreamviews youtube account. This is just an idea, that I would like to take somewhere.
(Due to mac problems, this project will take a few months to edit and finish after I get the video from you. Sorry.)

LOL! Well, thanks for replying. Anybody else, just know I really don't need very high quality, a nice webcam would work.
(If you do decide to make a video, upload it to youtube and provide a download link, so I can see if you have anything I can use before downloading.)

We could always use Youtube to get it all on the web...too bad we don't have video posts here like on facebook....would be kinda cool lol

true, true...but would be nice if it was an option embedded in the reply section- could cam it right there and click send....more people would probably post videos if it was simply a button, you could simply press "record"

Hey, I didn't know you still needed help on this documentary! I'd love to join in if you don't mind - I've got me a working camera and some good editing software if you need me to do some clippin' and such.

A few questions, though they may already be answered in the topic:
1. What questions are left that need video-responses?
2. Would you like us to just upload them to YouTube, where you can use something to download them, or would you like them linked to you directly from some hosting site?
3. Would you like any audio recordings, just to overlay images over? Are you going to use the actual video along with the audio that we send, and have images over some parts, or will it all be audio with images of sites and pictures, but making no use of the video portion of the files?

I could offer my services, I just need to know whats left to be done, like what questions etc. I am sort of a beginner though, but then again I could relate to the audience then. Oh, and I have an Aussie accent!

To be in this documentary do you want people who are experienced lucid dreamers, or people who are learning aswell?

I wouldn't mind helping you and make a few videos of myself talking, though I've only ever experienced about 4 real lucid dreams before, I am still in a learning process. I ctalk about how I became interested in Lucid dreaming, why i think people should do it, how to go about learning, ect. ?

I'm taking A-levels in Intereactive and Multi-Media, graphics, directing, editing ect. Cinema 4D can create some AMAZING effects. I've seen a lot of the University students i know creating some absolutely un real creations with it. Perhaps some peoples lucid dream and idea's for lucid dreams could be brought to life using these amazing programs to attract people into lucid dreaming and make it look so much more realistic.

That would be awesome. Please. I'll get the dream segments for you to animate when I have all the other material.

I just to the computer I am going to use for editing, so we should be good to go when we get video.

I have send some video clips to my friend via free service called Dropbox. You can upload up to 2GB to it.

Sounds interesting project. Wish I had more time. Is there a dead line for the videos? (I just browsed this thread through quite fast, so if it's mentioned somewhere, I missed it).

Deadline is nonexistent. I would be awesome to get videos in by the end of July, though.

Would love to contribute. I've got a decent camera and good microphone, so quality shouldn't be too bad. I'll try to upload it by the end of next week. I hope you don't mind sifting through a little rambling though because once I get started on lucid dreaming, I talk forever.

Sorry about my laziness, but I came into this thread after it got really full so I hope you'll excuse me not reading the whole thing. Have you gotten the mac yet?
