a strange idea brought up by a friend...

i was once telling one of my friends (real life. Not dream character to differenciate because my dreams are continuous (day by day as the same dream character that's not me until i die in a dream, normally taking a year. ) about one of my dreams. They always tell me it's cool i can do stuff like this (i tell them this website exsists and they could learn, but they refuse) and that it's a cycle like that. But then this particular day, my friend had a dream that matched the one they had the day before. So, they asked me a question.
"You don't suppose that when we're asleep it's a totaly different life, and we rarely remember it, but if we remembered it all it would fit together like yours do, do you?"
Now i know most of us here believe that it's the subconcious, and we can get partial control over it. i still have been puzzling this. I can't prove it because i don't know anyone else around where i live who is like me.
Just thought i'd bring up the idea so i can stop constantly thinking about it.
Why is it that when i am holding all of the cards, everyone else decided to play chess?

I have thought of that before, just not in depth. There are a lot of unexplained phenomena around the human mind (not to be confused with the brain). The human mind is by far the most unexplored frontier of our existence as we currently know it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't know if this could be true or not. I certainly can't disprove it and I am intriqued by the very concept. The possibilities, as they say in the famous cliche, are endless. This could be well worth looking into.

do you seriously live an entire lifetime everytime you dream!? or am I mistaken. That would be wicked if you do... Could you clarify on your dream experiences...

Also, I think its definetly a possibility that we almost move to a whole seperate plane of mind when we dream. A plane that has real places that can be visited and revisted. Its an interesting idea.

      yep

yes, i seriously DO live a whole other life in my dreams. I can even connect it together. I have died (a few times...) but i come back as someone else. So it's not really a big deal.
Like, i just started a new one in late January, and over that time i've had a few strange experiences. For example...
      -i've worked as an assassin
-I've teamed up with a few anime characters (i was unwilling... until i found out exactly who they were)
      - I've been assigned (no consent on my part) to some weird mission to other "worlds" (just two nights ago, that was)
      -I've kissed someone
-I (finally) got around to standing on my head(that i need to say in the challenge chat)
-I saw my "parents" (differnt life, different family. I was around them for about a week) murdered
_I just entered some weird training program (If you want, i casn say more about this later, once i actually start it, which should be tonight)

The only reason that i live this cntinuous cycle is because it was fun when it started. I could be a normal lucid dreamer...
if there is such a thing. But it gets far to interesting to do something like that. Although because of this other life, i can never find any dream signs. Or maybe it means i find too many. whatever way you look at it, i can't interpret dreams. But i'm willing to take that disadvantage.

wait, where did this start? (don't answer me)
Why is it that when i am holding all of the cards, everyone else decided to play chess?

Now that'cha think about it, it makes perfect sense. In the real world, we can't really remember things we do in the dream world, and in the dream world, we can't really remember things we do in the real world. I'm voting yes!
Guess what? I'm not telling! Nah nah-nah nah-nah nah!

Well, if we do live other lives when we dream, why the f**k do I have to spend 18 of the 24 hours in a day in this freakin world and only spend about 6 in a much more intriguing one?! -- most of which I don't remember!!

      Unfair!

probably that would be because of the too much of a good thing idea. We wouldn't appreciate dreams if we did them just as often as living regular life.

but for whatever reason, unknown to me, my sleep requirements are unusually high. I need almost ten hours a night to feel okay. Sometimes i sleep as many as 14 hours in one night. (but maybe in my situation, it's a good thing)

Well, I think you just answered your own question as to why you need so much sleep in order to feel better. If I could do all those things while I slept, I would want to sleep more as well!

Also, you said this in another post:

I'm very strange because i live a whole separate life in dreams, and i have a natural knack for using most forms of weaponry (although i refrain from exersising that)
I can scare almost anyone off when i want to. I'm what most would call antisocial (with the exception of when i'm on the computer of course.)
I'm a total night owl (i prefer sleeping from four am to one in the afternoon) and when i do open up to someonee , i'm very loyal.
      [/b]
Wel, damn! You sound hot! Why so antisocial? It's a shame, I'm sure there's lots of options for you out there in the waking world. (not trying to hit on you,I'm just saying)

      ?

If your lucid, then you can remember what you did in reality.
In reality if you want to remember your dreams you will.

The only reason when dreaming and not lucid that you dont remember things that you did in reality(very often) is because you dont try to remember. Same as reality, if you dont try and remember a dream then you wont remember it. sure it seems you involuntaraly ignore all memory of reality while your dreaming, but infact it is voluntary, you dont remember because you dont want to and are too caught up in the dream to care. e.g. when your out and your mind is on something, like lets say your out partyin, your thoughts are only of what is going on then, you dont suddenly just think, hmm what was i dreaming last night, while caught up in that situation do you, lol. same with dreams.
