      My First Few Lucid Dreams

Hello, first post but have been coming to the forum for a while.

Wanted to share my experience and ask a couple questions.

I had my first lucid dream about a month ago out of the blue. I threw a dime on the ground then realized I was dreaming. My everything that was happening in the dream stopped and I started running down a street screaming "Im dreaming Im dreaming" then I started to try and fly. I only got about 20 feet off the ground, seemed like I couldnt go any further. I was grabbing onto tree branches trying to get higher, but I couldnt. So , instead I decided to just fly ahead and into a garage...I then woke up.

After that, I decided if that ever happened again I would try to keep my emotions at bay and not do anything to intense for fear that was making me wake up.

The next one I had I realized I was dreaming and started screaming I was dreaming again. Ended up in a backyard where I again tried to fly. This one seemed to have been less in my control since there was other things going on, other people. I tried flying again, this time trying to stay calm and just float upwards. But again, I could only get so far. Then I started making out with a girl (this part seemed to really not be in my control much)

Then last night, I had another one. I think. At some point in the dream I realized I was dreaming. I tried pinching myself and couldnt feel it so I knew. The thing is I wasnt really in control of this dream like the others (Im wondering if there are different levels of lucidity). Like, I remember looking across a field and seeing people trying to hold down a dinasaur with ropes and while I was watching I was telling myself to try and remember this vividly for when I wake up. I was telling other people in my dream that it was just a dream. And at one point something was attacking me and I was yelling at myself to WAKE UP cuz I was getting scared. I also was telling people in my dream to do the tricks to tell if your dreaming like putting a finger through your hand.

Thing is about this one, is after I woke up, I remember pretty much everything in the dream. However, I wasnt as aware as my others. I wasnt screaming IM DREAMING, I was just aware that it was a dream but my mind was just kinda going along with the dream. I wasnt really in control so much as aware I was dreaming.

This last one is real interesting too because in my others I only had so much time. This last one, I was in a lucid dream, knew it, but crazy things were still happening like a reg dream and it lasted A LOT longer then the others, then I told myself to wake up, then I did. When I went back to sleep, I started lucid dreaming again, and it went on for the rest of the night. It wasnt just 2-4 minutes, it was an all night thing.

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated. I think Lucid Dreaming is probably the most interesting thing about everyday life...

Also, this shouldnt be left out.

In a part in my dream, someone told me that its dangerous to be lucid like this because there was a lower level to where ever I was at and if this snake thing killed me in the dream that I would die in real life.

It was like i was in a world where people were dreaming but some didnt know and others did, and there was like a monster that could keep you in this world i was in.

Just more about the fact that I was aware of the dream, but wasnt in control since it was kind of a story that was happening

You could have a lucid dream but have no control which was the case here. Nightmare do tend to be more glorified when you are lucid in them and have no control though
