      Very Strange Partial Lucidity

So I told myself before I slept that when I was dreaming I wold know it. I have had many lucid dreams in the past but this one seemed different. When the dream started I immediately knew I was dreaming, so for some reason I told myself that I wanted to awake in a different reality. And bam, I am in a strange room; I get out of bed the whole house is dark. There is a poster of baphomet on the wall, with three lights going down its body. I move through the room and there is a strange man sitting in a chair. He say's "Don't you remember me?, I am your neighbour." I don't remember completely what we talked about. The strange part is I was aware I was dreaming the entire time, I could move around and talk except I could not manipulate the environment. Later on in the dream there was this man who locked me into a room using these special keys and, and the only way to get past the three doors in front of me was to write down a hint (of what? I don't know) and slip it under the third door. The whole dream had a plot except my recall is a little fuzzy. I remember i had been hired to go after someone, and kill them. The fact was the whole expieriance of being lucid except being trapped at the same time was really scary and I woke myself up. I could talk and interact with these people in front of me, but could not control them, nor the environment around me. It really seemed like an alternate reality. A dream inside a dream. Let me know what you think.

Hey. Thats pretty trippy. I just made a thread with something similar that happened.

It was a really long dream and I knew i was dreaming, I was even telling other people in the dream that it was a dream and at one point was talking with someone/something that was telling me how dangerous it was to be in this "world" because if you die there you could get stuck.

My other dreams, as soon as I realized I was dreaming, whatever was happening in the dream stopped and I was able to control everything.

This last one, I knew I was dreaming but had no control over what was happening, only myself. Gave me the alternate reality thing your talking about.

So much so, I called my mom and asked her if I was in her dream last night since she was in mine

I know definately strange, I remember as soon as I became lucid, somehow I fell asleep in my lucid state and thats when I entered that really odd plane. The lack of control was so scary that I had to wake myself I said yeah I don't wanna stay here.

I know what you mean. I just had one of those a few nights ago. I can pretty much control myself, but just can't get the environment to change, but I can tell DCs to do stuff.

I've had a lot of lack of control in many of my lucids. I think it's normal from time to time. That one guy sounds like a creep.
