Are false false awakenings common?

And by that, I mean false awakenings in which you wake up in a place other than you fell asleep in. I've had a false awakening in which I woke up having apparently fallen asleep at my desk, but I was asleep in bed at the time.

Believe it or not it's common. As a kid I would "wake" up in my parents bed all the time and have no clue how the hell I got there but since I put some thought into it I believe they were false awakenings. One reason being when I fell back "asleep" in their bed I was waking up in mine. It's normal. Just remember to RC in any FA you may think is going on. Don't wanna get a days work done, wake up and have to do it for real

Yeah, I have had some experiences with FAs like that. Once I was lucid dreaming and I saw something really terrifying ( cant remember, I was a kid back then ) and I forced myself too wake up from the nightmare, but instead of my bed, I ended up in another room of my house, under the computer table! I know I have some more, but that one is the best. So yeah false FAs are pretty common, just remember to do an RC as you wake up.

Happens to me all the time when I go back and forth between my ski condo and my house.
