I do the same thing, (it's a security thing) except I make a little passage way on the side of the blanket to let air in. It's because I sleep in the basement and the furnace goes on about every hour or so, and it makes a squealing noise (kind of like a police siren.) It scares the hell out of me every time it happens. But I do wake up and remember a lot of dreams, so it's not all that bad.
