2 hours of dreams in about 15 minutes

Possibly one of my most gratifying experiences in a while! I cursed waking up this morning, after a night without lucidity...but to my surprise, I managed to get about 4 dreams (in total what felt like 2 hours..."felt", but the experience makes no difference--this was pretty long too me) in a 15-20 minute period. I've often wondered about these prolonged dreams, and was skeptical about how "Real" they felt.

However, I can safely say that this was a very, very nice experience at whole. My dreams consisted of:

*A futuristic world in which slavery/racism towards African people still exists
*A Sci-Fi like dream in which the world was burnt to a crisp (very awesome seeing the statue of liberty burst and disintegrate [though somewhat sick......*eh hem])
*A dream of a new sport called invisible basketball...which is professionally played. Very amusing...
*A dream where I was in a communist labor camp.

Each felt incredibly long, and I was pretty shocked when I saw the time difference on the clock (even had a false awaking once within the dream, but I asure you completely that the time difference was real). Though I can't say If I will go lucid to such conditions...I can say I'll try.

Having time-expanded dreams like that sounds so cool. When I get better at lucid dreaming, I hope to figure out a way to consistently prolong my dreams like that. I've heard that by imagining a clock for both worlds, and then slowing the one for the real world way down, works well.

I'd never really considered how realistic prolonged dreams could be, but now that you mention it, I see why. It seems like our minds wouldn't be able to adequately process enough information so quickly to create convincing dreams. Even though our brains are incredibly fast, it seems as though normal life can sometimes move so fast that its difficult to process. I wonder what the reason behind it is?
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

Yeah, it's an interesting concept it'd be cool to know the reasons why it happens, but anyways I hope to be able to do this sort of thing too.

I have only had one time-extended dream while lucid, but it was incredible. I was dreaming for maybe 4 hours, and I experienced two days while in the dream. Having the power to fly for 48 hours made that my favourite dream ever. I flew to a mountain range, over jungles, across oceans, and hung around islands for hours. What really freaks me out is how fast this dream must have been happening in real time. I suppose dream-speed is restricted only to the speed of thought, which is amazing.

I couldnt even imagine a dream lasting 2 days, how does that feel? Are you lucid the entire time? Do you get hungry and have to eat and go to the bathroom and all that or is it just go wild for 2 days??

Ive had a dream where i like i elt liek ive been there for weeks. I made frineds and met people and got really close to them. I remember being very sad that morning when i woke up that the people arent real. I dind tknow i was dremaing, it was like real life. I dont understand how thse prolong dreams work. I think it may sort of like a movie, where it only last 90 mins, but the polt an take poace over days or years. Its just how its secquenced perhaps....

Yeah, do you ever skip time, like you're lucid during lunch and then next thing you know it's night time. That would make sense cuz I can't understand how you could feel such a huge time difference. Pretty cool though.

Dreaming like that is sweet.... But it get's annoying when it heppens with false awakenings, I had 5 false awakenings in a row one morning like 5 minutes, I swear I was trying to wake up for more than half an hour

In a long dream like that, I was lucid the whole time, or most of it anyway. I didn't feel bodily needs like hunger in it (though I often eat in dreams), but it is indeed "going wild for days." I've never really traveled to any cool places in the world, so I chose to fly to as many places that I could. I can't imagine a way to induce long dreams like that on purpose.

I had the opposite happen recently. Woke up at 8:30, went to bed, woke up at 9:30... felt like 3 minutes had passed.

Isn't that what sleep is like in general

Normally there's not really a sense of, "Oh, I slept this much."

But that time... it felt like I just closed my eyes for a few minutes or something.
