Lightbulb Question about what happened in a lucid dream

Okay, so before I went to sleep I took 250mg of tryptophan. As I was going to sleep I was attempting a WILD, I have never been closer. After a while I started to feel times where my head felt extremely light and I was passing out, and sometimes my body felt super heavy. I was doing a VILD throughout this and also doing a technique mentioned by another user named para(something, I forgot). Where I would imagine physical movements in the bed, like sliding across the bedsheets. Than I started day dreaming and here is where it got weird, I got deep into the day dreaming and started dreaming kinda(I had no control had all, and it was not vivid at all like one of those weird random dreams). I awoke why still having my eyes closed and not moving. Than there was one point where I was like falling into my dream I start focusing on my eyelids(which kinda hurt) my eyes started twitching(like REM) and my tongue was twitching (happens when I get scared when WILDing).

Now to the question, I woke up later that night at 4am(WBTB) almost everytime I WBTB I just fall back to sleep(tired). I was just telling my self I was gonna rest a little to get more tired and than wake up. I tried my best to stay awake, but than I passed out. I seemed to enter the dream instantaneously. As soon as I entered I knew I was dreaming, obviously because I was just awake a second ago. I experienced this in my first LD. I go back to sleep in the WBTB and while asleep(unconscious) I can see the dream fading in and INSTANTLY know that I am dreaming(No RC's, no nothing).

I am curious as to what is going on and how I can replicate it, please help if you can. Also I am planning to do a VILD/WILD again before sleep and in WBTB. Should I do something else? Should I wake up for 20 minutes, or just hit the alarm and start attempting the WILD immediately?

I don't remember what this is called anymore (it's been months since I read the guides on this site) but it sounds like you did a technique where you wake up and re-enter the dream fairly quickly and with relative ease. This is easiest to replicate if you stay as still as possible when you wake up, and then focus on the dreamscape that you would like to enter and let yourself drift into it. The key is staying still so that your body thinks you're still dreaming.
