Thread: My first lucid...HELP!

Last night I had a dream that I was looking at a newer camper or cabin with my boyfriend which was rather large had 3 bedrooms.

In one of the rooms it was turned almost to an office and had a couple shelves with snickers and other candy bars and from that point my dream switched or i have no recollection of that part but I was sitting outside with a gorgeous girl I've seen from sporting events in highschool but never spoken to (she was from a different school.)

There was a small basketball game going on near us so I do believe we were at a park and the girl kept smiling at me while we were talking and I remember she kissed me and I was really into her and we acted like a couple that was dating.

I remember asking her if she was ready to go somewhere and she said, "Yea I guess so" with a smile then we ended up back at this camper/cabin I had previously been looking at with my boyfriend.

He was there laying down on his side and had an empty plastic grocery bag in his hand and when I walked up to him he started laughing and then I asked him to leave because I had to figure out what I wanted in life and that I would call him in a few days.

The girl stayed and I ran my hand down her cheek I was happy and very relaxed and comfortable around her and she explained that she was happy as well and shed a tear of joy. We started to kiss one more time and from that point I woke up.

I have no idea what this means at all..I do have a boyfriend I've been with for over 4 years and have had some questions as far as my sexuality but I'm uncertain and haven't acted on any of it. any help in interpretating it would be much helpful thanks

Are you sure that was a lucid dream?

I believe it was a semi lucid dream ...this is all completely new to me. everything felt real and I kind of controlled getting the boyfriend out of the camper but still woke up somewhat confused lol

hmm i would love to help, but i think i need some more details on you and the other girl. if you could be more descriptive with everything that went on between you two that would be great. lol. typical guy answer.
now, you mentioned that you've had some questions about your sexuality? perhaps its been on your mind for quite sometime and its finally carried over into you dreams? If you hadnt ever questioned your sexuality i would probably say, its not a big deal, it doesnt really mean anything, but because of the circumstances i would say its your way of dealing with it? You said you were quite comfortable with it in the dream, i say give it a shot in real life. im sure if you mentioned it to your b/f he would prob be more then willing to bring another female on board so you can experiment, i know i would.

@Cguy Thanks for your advice/ideas I'll definately consider talking to the bf about it and see where it goes. I was told when you have dreams its a reflection of yourself but then I've also heard different parts of the dream mean different things like if you see specific objects or colors..I'm not sure if there is any truth to that but I'm trying to pay more attention to my dreams because I've actually started to remember some and a lot of them have been weird lol

ya i really dont know if certain things in dreams are supposed to reflect real life. i've heard alot of "this" or "that" in a dream is supposed to mean something, but i agree with you, i dont know if there is any truth to it either. i just started this lucid dreaming quest a few weeks ago, i could never remember any dreams in the past but since i started i pretty much remember a couple every night. Some of them are CRAZY weird, i've got quite the imagination in my awake hours, my dreams are pretty wild!!!!

Sexuality is strange in dreams. In freudian psychology, your 'id' (the part of you that controls sex urges) is uninhibited, unlike in real life. That's why people often have sex in dreams, experiment with their sexuality, and so on. it's really up to you if it means anything

Dream control and Lucidity are entirely different things. Sounds like you had control, but wasn't aware that it was a dream.
