      Books that you would reccomned to Gregor Samsa from The Metamorphosis to read?

      I need to know some books that Gregor Samsa from The Metamorphosis by Fraz Kafka would enjoy and possibly an explanation of them. They need to be from the 1920s or earlier. This is part of a project that I am needing to do, but I am having a writer's block on the subject and can't think of any of them except for Das Kapital by Marx. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks

      maybe Ulysses by James Joyce
      Les Chants de Maldoror by Comte de Lautréamont
      Nadja by Andre Breton
      Idk man just try some surrealist/absurdist authors

      Also Das Kapital would be a good choice as well. Gregor turning into a bug (IMO) is an expression of his alienation which you can tie into Marx's theory of alienation in his critique of capitalism.
