      Question LD Scenario

I was reading that a scenario could help attain lucidity. Would something like falling asleep during school and having the teacher wake you up. Could that create lucidity

PS: I am new to this site so I might not know every trick

      Hi Misigno12, welcome to Dreamviews!

Lucidity's caused by awareness, or consciousness within the dream. If you're conscious enough in a dream, you could become lucid just by yourself and without any cues, or something happening could trigger it (like a teacher waking you up).

But if you're not aware enough in the beginning, absolutely anything can happen (you could see a flying pig or something) and you won't become lucid.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Thanks! I have done alot of research about lucid dreaming. I do have 2 questions...
1)When you wake up from a lucid dream does it feel like it has been like a day since you went to sleep? If so then I have done it before...
2)I have this Iphone app that vibrates and reminds you to do a reality check. Would it work in a dream to feel the vibration?

Not really..being lucid is basically being aware while in a dream...has nothing to do with how you feel after waking up.

      1) No, but sometimes it can, depending on the dream. Usually when you wake up, lucid dreams feel like just another dream, but more vivid and memorable.
      2) You can feel anything in dreams, including vibrations, pain, the feeling of suffocating... I'd stick to reality checks that are more reliable, like thte nose-pinch, and even combine a few of them so as a whole, they become more reliable. As for the cue aspect of it, cuing you to do a reality check, it might. But it's best to just develop the skepticism as to whether or not you're dreaming by yourself, and not to rely on a cue. At first, it can help, though.
