      Workbook looks good Lahzo!

I read your lucid dream from the 24th, and I think that's pretty cool that you were already performing daring stunts before you even got lucid. So good work there. And looks like you have really great dream recall too, that's helpful. So how is your progress with WILD? I noticed your last lucid was a DILD.

Hello tharr! Welcome to the intro class!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

The progress with DILD is unintentional as I have an affinity for the sensations I get in sleep paralysis. My WILD progress is currently at a standstill due to a week of nonstop partying. I'm hoping to get back in the habit with WBTB today! I'll keep you posted.

HAI! Thank you! I've been a member since '09 but I haven't been very active. I'm hoping to change that during my second year of college.

I've been attempting to WILD, but also have been keeping up with my RCs. I mean, any lucid is better than no lucids. I've been having considerable difficulty remembering my dreams ever since I started taking this multivitamin from Target. The multivitamin was suggested to help me bodybuild and balance out my diet a bit. I'm not sure what the problem is, but the dream quality is absolutely horrid, as well as the recall.

I had the most success I've had in SP thus far a few days ago. My body felt like it was being jerked around, I heard some whirling noises, I saw flashes of light, and some dream scenes began to form. I attempted to "roll out" of my body, but when I did, it was my physical body. I checked by doing several reality checks. I'm not exactly sure what I'm missing but I felt like I was extremely close to my first WILD. I could hear the characters talking and could see them, but wasn't actively involved. When I tried to involve myself, I just woke up. Also, my arms and legs felt as if I had been sleeping on them all night, despite them being in their natural position. Very close, I do believe! ^_^

When do you take the supplement? I find that taking things first thing in the morning has the least effect on sleep and dreams, if that helps any.

Yeah you were very close. Sounds like you were experiencing some form of vibrations and and even HI or HH.

I usually take it around dinner time, I'll try taking it with breakfast as it's not anything that requires a designated time to take. How much longer before I could have been in a dream, do you think?

Finally! I have broken the dry spell in dream recall. I have been dreaming next to none compared to my usual average. I've been recalling 1-3 dreams since I've returned to dream views, but last night I recalled a whopping 8 dreams. Hopefully it will stay this way. Go check out my dreams from 10-14-12 in my dream journal! Feel free to give me suggestions to improve my journal, whether it's tags, a title, what have you. You may enjoy some of the dreams I had, as they left behind a rather cool feeling.

That's great! I just broke my dry spell in dream recall this morning also. Mine wasn't quite as good as 8 dreams though, well done!
Check out my DreamViews Podcast with OpheliaBlue!

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.

No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.

Grats man! I hate when this happens and I never know why. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the inconsistencies in my bed time though. When I first joined DV, I could easily remember 10+ dreams, given enough sleep, of course. I had a lucid last night too but it was horrible vividness and wasn't very long. I'm getting closer and closer however!

Yea it seems pretty common to go through waves of dream recall and lucidity. Not sure why it is, but it's frustrating.

Definitely. I love when I can remember the full duration of a dream in absolute stunning detail. I'm still working on that lucid though! I've had 2 in the last few weeks though and that's two in a closer segment of time than any of my past ones. I'm not having much luck with WILD w/ WBTB though.. most of the time DEILD seems to be doing the trick.

I apologize that I haven't been on recently! I've been ultra busy with my classes and what not, however, I'm switching my major from biomedical engineering to something more enjoyable, psychology. Not sure what I want to do with it but I'm sure that I love learning the subject. I've been recording as many dreams as I can and in almost complete detail. I'll post them to my dream journal shortly. I've also been reading a book called "Lucid Dreaming" about awareness in your dreams and connecting with your subconscious.

I'm glad to hear that you've kept up with your dream recall and dream journaling even through these busy days. It can be tough to fit in during hectic mornings so congratulations on staying with it. It sounds like you're in school and if your mornings are like mine were (stumble out of bed, hair sticking straight up, and throw clothes on at random because you're so late), it's great that you're making your dreaming a priority.

Is the book you're reading the one by Stephen Laberge? That man is the lucid dreaming OG! I always enjoy reading anything by him.

By the way, have you had the chance to continue attempting WILDs?

I've been trying to keep up with it anyways. I usually go a day or two with no dream recall and then have an average amount of dreams recalled, rinse and repeat. I'll hopefully get rather proficient in inducing lucidity now after switching my major. I have to withdraw from my engineering courses and it leaves only my English class late on Tuesday and Thursday.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a good dream journal? Mine usually follow a format that states the date and the intimate details of my dream. Anything else? I usually mark down or underline repeating themes and objects as well.

The book I'm reading is called Lucid Dreaming and it's by Robert Wagonner. I've never heard or seen anything from him prior to me aimlessly browsing the local library.

      My dream journal has:
      •Date
      •Time I went to bed
      •Time I woke up
      •Specific details of the dream
•Notes about what I did before bed

Oh, and I use a multi-colored pen so I write dream signs and lucid moments in different colors.

EDIT: I also suggest dedicating a page in your DJ at the beginning of every month. Mine has my lucid goals for the month, as well as a small area to write down how many dreams I recall daily (to keep track of dream recall), and also the current dream signs I have (which is based on the journal entries of the prevus month).

Your dream journal sounds like it has a nice base format to me. I like going with a date, then a few little written sentences about my plans for the night. In these, I usually just say how vivid and memorable my dreams are, that I wake up from dreams and recall them in great detail, and how well I recognize when I'm dreaming. Basically just kind of setting some quick intentions and boasting to myself, lol. I think of myself at my absolute best while I'm writing this and try to feel like a pro. If I've got a task in mind, that goes there too.

After that, yeah, I just do numbered entries with an optional title (which I often fill in later) and the details of the dream. Underlining and/or writing out recurring themes (as you are doing) is a very good idea. The margin is also good for for scratching down keywords where you're too pressed for time to write everything out and will have to flesh it out later. And of course, the all caps "LUCID" for when you strike gold.

Oh sure! This is the "Gateway to the Inner Self" one, right? That one is on my reading list! (I've read the Kindle sample and I'll step up for the full version when I get through what I'm working on now.) Let us know how it is!

Edit: Okay, I'm totally stealing some of paigeyemps' ideas, ha ha. Do I have to give up my man card if I use different colored pens?

Heads up: It's almost October! I suggest making a new list of monthly goals you want to achieve, as well as reevaluate your DJ for possible new dream signs or any realizations

I haven't yet achieved my goals yet though! I attempted a WILD last night and almost had it but to no avail! It takes me forever to get HI now.. ionno why.

If it makes you feel any better, some people can go into a WILD without HI at all! Like, they relax, maybe hold on to an anchor, and boom, when they open their eyes, they're in the dream.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

You were saying your recall ebbs and flows. I find this has a lot to do with expectations. Be sure to clear your mind of any expectations before sleep. That way you can have that rinse and repeat cycle ever night.
Also, I have had goals for months and months that I havent completed. Its not about how fast you complete your goals, its how much focus you keep on getting to them. You will get there eventually.
