For the past couple of days, I have been doing the reality checks where you try and breathe while holding your nose and pushing your finger through your palm. |
That's great. What have you been doing to accompany the reality checks? Reality checks alone, from my experience, don't do much in the way of getting you lucid. Awareness is key, so each time you do a reality check make sure you're truly aware of your surroundings and really ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?" and come up with solid reasons why you aren't. I find it also helps to recall what I was doing 5 minutes ago, as in dreams, it's often not possible to recall what you previously did, or you'll recall that you went to sleep. |

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.
No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.
My dream call is decent. I don't remember my dreams from last night, but that could be because I only had 5 hours of sleep. For a few days last week I remembered almost everything about some of my dreams, though. I started my dream journal back i may, but gave up on it after like 15 entries. I restarted it last week. In my lucid dreams, I want to be able to practice sports or other things that I can get better at. |

Hey Kingpin, glad you started up a workbook! What's your dream recall like currently? How long have you kept a dream journal, or have you just started keeping one? What are your goals for LDing? If you have any questions, feel free to ask right here in your workbook. I look forward to reading more from you! |

I took a nap after football practice today because I wanted to be able to write something down in my dream journal. I ended up having a lucid dream. It wasn't very clear or long, but its a start. |
Oh nice! Congratulations Kingpin! |

I don't think I did anything special before the nap. For August I want to try and get at least 5 lucid dreams that are clear and last a while |
Last night I had at least three dreams but i can only remember 1 fully and a fragment of the other. |

Remembering 1 full dream alone can be a struggle, let alone with another fragment of a different dream! |
I had the most amazing dream last night with 2 other fragments. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I wish my dad didn't have to wake me up for football |
I read your DJ from the other night, congratulations not only on the lucid dream (really your first ever?), but also on using the spinning technique to delay waking up. That's the second person today actually that I read about having success with spinning. |
it wasnt the lifeguard one. i didnt put it in my dream journal yet though |
Ah ok, makes sense. It didn't look like a crying dream to me haha |
I don't think I'm going to post my amazing dream on here because it is a little personal. |

My dreams keep getting weirder and weirder as I remember more of them. |
That's okay! You can use that to your advantage. Weirder dreams can allow you to better notice them, I'd say keep working on awareness and reality checks |

I haven't been able to update this in a while because of football and work, but I had to take the time out of my day for this today, because last night I had three lucid dreams. it was crazy. |

4 lucids in 3 nights? I'm on a roll |
I got my goal of 5 lucids for august, now I just have to work on being able to control them. If anybody reads my dream journal, i'm sorry i haven't updated it in a while. I'll get to it eventually |
