We are in a parking lot somewhere. There are overhead lights. I see about 50m away there is a pick-up game of softball going on. It seams to be some kind of military base as the players are wearing khaki. Then someone with a mitt runs over to us and asks us if we have permission to be there. I wake up."
and dream number 2
"I am sitting in a burgandy red overstuffed booth of what looks like a 1970's truck stop diner. There is a plate of breaded 'chicken fried' steak, mashed potatoes and gravey in front of me. Several people come up to the booth who want to talk with me. I really don't know what they are saying. One though is a young early 20's looking black girl who asks me for food to feed her children. I offer her my plate, but she shakes her head no. She says her children are in the parking lot, and could I go to them, and feed them there."
I recalled this one about 5 hours after being awake, just floated into my mind's awareness.
Any suggestions for pre sleep rituals to achieve LD?
Thanks,
I'm glad to see that your dream recall is still in good shape in spite of the stress. Treat yourself well during these times of higher stress and don't get especially concerned if LDing becomes more difficult during these times.
Your mantra before bed looks good. I personally like em a little bit shorter but please do whatever appeals to you most. I actually write a few sentences in my DJ every night talking about what I will accomplish in terms of recall and sort of boasting about my own LD abilities. I figure that helps prepare the mind.
What induction technique are you employing? If you are having any trouble selecting one, Lesson II provides an excellent summary of the available techniques. Virtually all of the standard ones (MILD, WILD, DILD, etc.) are greatly enhanced by the addition of a Wake Back to Bed. If your sleep schedule allows it, this is a huge LD boost. But if you are currently too stressed to incorporate this, be sure to avoid creating more stress for yourself. This must always be fun!
Anyway, just keep us up to date in your workbook as often as you can. We'll keep an eye out for your progress and just do our best to answer any questions that arise.
