      Beefteeth's Workbook

Hey guys. I'll be starting my workbook today. It'll probably be pretty empty and basic, but I'm going to take a guess and figure that's why I'm here. Any tips or comments are always appreciated. Very excited about starting this, so here's to achieving lucidity!

      Reality Checks:
      - Finger Counting
      - Lighting a lighter that I keep with me at all times (Observing the flames, functions)

      Dream Signs:
      - Large, faceless groups of humanoids
      - Social environments that have been combined (Bars, schools, restaurants, etc.)
      - Someone that I've met before, but don't recognize at all
      - Eyeless people

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Be able to recall all or a tiny part of my dreams every night.
      - Become Lucid in a dream

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Become Lucid at will
      - Be able to describe most of my dreams almost perfectly
      - Astral projection

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - I've never been aware of achieving lucidity in a dream, but I'm sure it's happened a few times in my life. My dream recall is hit or miss. For whole weeks, I won't be able to remember anything about my dreams. And then suddenly, I'll have 3 days where I can remember my dreams so vividly and so perfectly, I'll spend about an hour and half writing them down in my dream journal, with any minute details that I can recall.

      Current Technique:
      - Reality checks/mantras through out the day
      - I have some trouble sleeping, so I take melatonin when I'm ready for bed
      - Currently working on DILD, using DEILD whenever I get the opportunity
      - Mostly just working on dream recall and building up my reality checks to become second nature at this point

      My sleeping schedule:
-It's usually pretty stable. I shoot for about 2 am - 3 am, with about an hour variance either way.

Hey Beefteeth! Love the name. That and your avatar make me want a burger.

Anyway nice workbook, and thanks for joining the class. Those eyeless and faceless people in your dreamsigns is pretty darn interesting. Makes me think of Slenderman. Anyway, I see you started a Dream Journal here, so well done there. It helps with recall so much, though I see you recalled quite alot in that entry, so well done again!

So, if I have anything to say to start with, it would be maybe going to bed earlier. I don't know what time you have to wake up, but the more hours sleep you can get in, the more chances you have to WBTB, and then attempt your chosen induction method (in your case, DILD and DEILD). In fact, DEILDs tend to do really well when you can sleep for a good maybe 5 or 6 hour stretch, before doing a WBTB. Then you still have time to DEILD chain before say having to get up for work. Of course that's more flexible on your days off, when you can sleep in longer. Still it's better all around (lucid-wise AND health-wise) if you can get a more consistent good night's sleep.

Anyway, start with that, and let us know how it goes. Nice to meet you
