It probably is a little different for everyone, but it does seem that I hear more reports of folks getting swept up in their emotions during dreams more often. And for me, that's one of the reasons I sometimes lose focus and therefore lose lucidity or the dream altogether. Some of this is because of a lack of proper awareness (a discussion for another time), but I do believe you're right Kaenthem, that certain brain centers are more active during sleep, and others less so compared to the waking state. So it's just a matter of being aware of this, and training yourself to handle those states more efficiently to maximize you lucid experiences. This is something that for me, takes practice. Lots of it. But it's worth it. |
