-I have 17 dreams recorded in my DJ from the last 11 days. I could write them here, if it is important. But I dont want to translate them to english right now. So I will write my dreams here since now.
-I am finishing reading about basics technique from DV and I will consider to change it if neccesary (my current technique is pretty simple). Any suggestion?
-according to S. LaBerges Course of Lucid dreaming (that step by step workbook) I have finished the lesson nr. 1 (recall at least 7 dreams / 7 days) so I will go to the lesson nr.2 tomorrow.

NEW SHORT TERM GOAL: Write my records since today to the DJ in english.

Hi sumys, welcome to the Intro Class!

Excellent start to your workbook! Interesting dreamsign with the chess - playing board/video games with my roommates is a pretty common dream sign for me as well.

Great start on your recall, 17 dreams in 11 days is pretty solid. How long did it take you to get your first LD?

Your current technique seems pretty solid, using meditation before bed works well for me as far as setting intention - I don't really know anything about binaural beats though. I know a lot of people will recommend extended periods of being awake for WBTB, but in the end you have to find out what works for you. I've talked with people here on Dreamviews that only stay awake for a few moments after their awakening, and that works for them. Personally I get up and stay awake for 5-10 minutes.

      Hi PennyRoyal,

-thank you for your warm welcome. I had the first (at so far the only one) LD the very first day I heard about LD. I had read about this staff and in the afternoon I got a short nap in which I was Lucid and it was vividly real.

-I use Binaural beats only for meditation. It calms me a little bit. I will try to use it in the morning as short term goal. Short term goal updated: try Lucid dreaming induction (90min) binaural beats track in the morning after 5h of sleeping.
My comment: when listening any audio track with my headphones I must, for a obvious reason, lie on my back. In this position it is almost impossible for me to sleep. That is cons and also pros. Maybe in the mornig I can fell asleep even in this position. My normal sleeping position is on the stomach

      - I my case, if I wake up and go back to sleeping in a minute, I fall asleep almost instantanously (dont now if this word exist in english:-)). But If I stand up from my bed and be awake for more than 5 minute, it takes longer to fall asleep again. But this prolonged period is great for visualisation or having hypnagogic pictures.

-Again as I have written, it seems to me, that it is not only important when you wake up, but also HOW. Sadly I havent found almost anything relating to this topic. But I just somehow feels that it is important for dream recalling and another advanced techniques.

I am going to bed in various times. Usually from 0:00 - 2:00 am. I wake up usually from 9:00 - 10:00.

Short term goal: Be more steady in your go to bed/waking up times. Try to go to bed earlier. To bed at 23:00pm, wake up at 7:00am

      My first Lucid dream:

It was in the January or early Febuary 2013 during an afternoon nap. I was lying in my bed in my usuall sleeping position (on the stomach)......
......I am on the small gravel path between small forest called "Smrcina" (I visit this forest since my childhood and it has a strong emotional feeling for me) and the rubber factory Saargumming where I am working (gladly not anymore now:-)). I hate that factory, as a symbol of oppression, capitalism.
I am going down the forest path towards the factory, but turn left to the empty building abandoned old iron foundry. So far everything in my dream is almost identical to the real world environment.
As I enter the building I am in the room with many 2 floored-beds. It looks like a room in some montain cottage.
I lie in the bed in my usuall sleeping position on the stomach. I am falling asleep and try to seperate myself from my body That day I also read about astral projection. It isnt easy and I feel strong resistance against separation. But I am able to pick up the upper half of my body. Finally I am able to stand up and look around. The part of separation is still mystery for me. It felt so real that I thought I was awake, but more likely I was dreaming all the time and was right on the edge sleeping/awake state. My sight is blury and hazy but everything is so real. Now I am realize that I am dreaming. Wow. I am so excited and happy. A look at my hands. They are blury. I thouch the wall. It feels 100 procent like a real wall, but I am not able to put my hand throught it. I go to the next small room and there is a woman sitting on the desk. I go to her and have a sex with her. Suddenly I want the girl named Betka instead of her. And in a second I am having a sex with Betka. It feels like a real sex. Wow. But after a minute the dream suddenly disappear and I wake up. I remember everything clearly even without writing it anywhere.
When I was 18 years old I had a girlfriend and my best friend Tomas cheated me with her. His girlfriend at that time was Betka. I remember I found her attractive but I havent seen her since that time. Maybe a time for a revenge ? :-) BTW: I have sometimes Thomas in my school related dreams. But I am not angry at him. We are still friends at my dreams

      Lesson 1 summery:
Start your own workbook thread in this subforum (here)
      Done
Start a Dream Journal and record each dream.
      I did it 22.5.2013
Record the times that you naturally go to bed and wake-up, and list it in your workbook.
      done
Do reality checks whenever you experience something weird throughout the day, and list it in your workbook.
Not so many weird things in my daily life. I will try to be more aware of it.
Write a list for why you want to lucid dream (for motivation), and plan out what you want to do in your next lucid dream.
      -adventure
-Escape from the society beliefs and norms without a fear of punishment
-Enhance my knowing about "reality" Is there anything beyond physical matter?
-Explore possibility of out of body experience
-Is our soul immortel? Is there any soul or our entire being is just electro-chemical masterplay?
-What we perceive with our physical senses - is it some so called "higher objective" reality or just a play of our brain, just like a dream...
-Are there any other higher energ. dimension as written by some authors... Does our subconsciousness travel to these dimensions during sleep? Is it somhow related to what I learn in school with string and membrane theory?
I just feel that some of these question could be answered through my subconsciousness

Establish a night-time routine (Include reading your dream journal, making sure to leave your DJ open to a blank page for quicker dictations).
Only open my DJ to a blank page and write down some information and time of sleep. Will read some pages before sleep.

      Optional:
Start a DreamViews Dream Journal (here).
      done
Start posting snippets from your dreams in the Dream Snippets Thread to get feedback on your dreams!
      not yet
Start practicing awareness from Lesson III
      in progres
If you notice any recurring elements in your dream journal (aka dream signs), list it in your workbook.
      done.

First day! That's awesome, some people struggle for weeks or months to get their first. Congrats. I had my first quite by accident a few days after reading about LDing.

Yes, instantaneous is definitely a word . That's the whole idea, you want to stay up long enough to give your 'awareness' a boost.. but not too long that you can't fall asleep again.

-Again as I have written, it seems to me, that it is not only important when you wake up, but also HOW. Sadly I havent found almost anything relating to this topic. But I just somehow feels that it is important for dream recalling and another advanced techniques.
I suppose it can be, people will claim that you HAVE to wake up perfectly still with your eyes closed to perform a DEILD (type of WILD), but for me 90% of my DEILDs come after I woke up and rolled over. I wouldn't worry too much about HOW you wake up. As far as recall goes, I find that if you can manage to stay still after you wake up and try not to think about 'real life' things, it makes remembering dreams a bit easier to recall. Just lay there relaxed when you wake up, and gently probe your brain for any dream memories.

I am going to bed in various times. Usually from 0:00 - 2:00 am. I wake up usually from 9:00 - 10:00.

When and if possible, keeping a consistent sleep schedule is important. Our lives don't always let us get that consistency but I would recommend going to sleep at a regular time when you can.

3.6.2013 To bed at 0:15, wake up at 10:45, alarm clock at 6:30

I am sitting in the computer class room. The Lesson is on the way. I am trying to run a foreigin program on the computer, which is strictly forbidden. At last Martin Vít (sitting behind me) show me how to change windows register to do so. Teacher Dalibor Vích come to us (we are sitting in the back of the room). He is telling us something and then show some video on the projector. It is a high jumping. At first a man jumps and sinks his head into the sand. Next one is a car jumping :-) It seems funny to me. Dalibor Vích asks me whether I am also capable of doing this.
Now I am in the old cottage, maybe it is a part of some castle.Behind the table is standing Veronika Petrova. She wears nice evening dress and she looks really nice. We go to the next room. It is an old room with an old furniture and big dinner table for a lot of people in the middle.I come close to Veronika, hug her and feel strong sexual context, but she doesnt want anything.
Now I am going to a school trip in the train with my former high school class and my former teacher Vratilová. Finally we are in the destination. Tereza Placha, my former schoolmate hobbles a little bit. She wears 2 part swim suit. I help here, get my arm around her waist. I can vividly feel her wet skin and beautiful thin waist. It is quite pleasant.
We go to the cottage and immediatly go to the dinning room for some food. Again big room with large tables. Food is served by old, mean and strick old women. I am eating with guys (Jeff, dimitrij and Max). I get smaller portion of food but continue eating. Max get SMS. It is from Veronika Petrova: "what car would you like". He goes to her to the same old cottage (castle) where I was before and have a sex with her. I am a bit of disappointed from all of this. I go to the same cottage (castle) but no one there. I get SMS if I like FIAT. I am angry, I am in no mood for a car. In a while the second SMS come: In which car would you like to have it? I am happy and answer that it doesnt matter, Renault whatever. Veronika comes to me. I turn up her skirt, thouch her back... end of the dream.

4.6.2013 to bed at 1:00, alarm clock at 6:00, wake up 11:00

I am going in the bus with the class full of kids (I am one of them) from Praque to some school trip. I am in the back part of the bus. On of teachers shout at driver that he is driving fast, that it is allowed to drive only 50 kmh in the city. I am talking with my classmates but one girl, sitting in the seat right infront of me grabs my attention. She is cute, blond hairy and in the age of 14 yo. She tell me that she won Superstar. I apologize that I know only one czech superstar Aneta Langerova. I see vividly her concert and also her brother concert. He has very strong , almost comic voice. I am joking if she can, as a pop star, write a signature on my arm. She agree and sign on my arm and also add her tel. number. It is to her home, because she doesnt have any cell phone. i feel very sotisfied, maybe I feel a love with her. We get out of the bus and there is a very big building infront of us.

i dont know if it is usefull for you teachers that I am posting my dreams. If not, it is not a problem, because I have my own dream journal.

I really improve my dream recall but still no lucid last 2 weeks. I am working mainly on DILD. But so far no joy. Maybe I will combine it with MILD later on.
No Wild attampts for my so far.
I am using some kind of WBTB or DEILD but with my way. I set my alarm clock on 6 hour of sleeping. Then there are 2 possibilities:

      1) I wake up, smoke one cigarette and after 10 minutes I go back to bed. I listen to the binaural beats - lucid dreaming induction by Moneroe institut (it is with relaxation on CD). I am on my back and couldnt completly fall asleep in this position but I am tired enough for almost falling asleep. During that periods I have hypnagogic hallucination or some strange movements. It is very funny but I was not able to convert it into LD so far. But it is fun anyway. But no Sleep paralyzis so far.
2)I am too lazy to go from my bed so I set my alarm clock to 90 minutes and fall asleep again. After 90 minutes my alarm clock beats and repeat it every 15 minutes afterwords. It may seem useless but I have much better dream recall in this period and dreams are more vivid.

Could you advice me some good binaural LD induction? I have tried many of them from youtube. Some are good, but Monreous LD is the best anyway. One that is very strange and good is this. I almost feel like i am falling or jumping out of my body:-)
      youtube.com/watch?v=DwYXNiZKlHo

Any advices are more than welcome.

      Hey Sumys,

I dont know of any good binaural beats, but it sounds like you have WILD almost down. Once you start seeing those hypnagogic hallucinations, try to control them a bit. For example, imagine a shape and see if it appears. Experiment with manipulating the hallucinations and after a few tries you should be able to create an object. You can focus on that object and a dream scene will fill in around that object. Alternatively, your dream scene might materialize without the need to focus on a particular object, but rather thinking of a scene of some kind. Experimenting in that stage is a good path to developing a dream scene.
Also, paralysis of the body only occurs when REM has begun. When you are attempting a WILD and still awake, you should be able to move the body. That doesn't mean you won't feel anything weird once you enter hypnagogia, but you will still be able to move if necessary.
Good lucK! let us know how it turns out

I will change my short term goals. I will write here only LD. It is due to lack of my time. I still write it into my DJ in czech, but it is very time consuming to re-write it again in english here. Here is my interesting LD from today:

Sleep at 15:00 wake-up 18:30 Lucidology timer, first interval after 70 minues, but I am not sure if it rangs. No MILD technique. The day before l read Lucidology 101 i 103 "pry eye lids" and talked with LD expert about it.

I woke up and then felt asleep a couple of times. At last I am laying on my bed awaken. I got a desire to have an OBE. I am concentrating myself to the other body which is in the opposite side of my room.I am feeling vibrations and sense of spiral movement down and down. I stand up and try RC. Point finger goes through my palm. I see it with a littly hazy sight, but afterwards I dont see anything. Despite that fact I want to fly up. I am feeling the sensetion of flying and clearly the feel of the material of our roof that I must being flying throughout. But I am still blind. I am angry and screaming "CLARITY NOW". But nothing happens. I remember at Lucidology 103 that I can open my nonphysical eye lids with nonphysical hands. I do it and it works! All I see is the edge of my bed and wall as being seen from the sleeping position. It looks the same as in reality. Strange. After I drop my eyelids again I dont see anything. i wake up. In that moment it was very vivid, but not after the final awakening I remember it with some obstacles. I still dont know if it was a false awakening LD or OBE.

looks like you are making great progress Sumys! One suggestion I might add, is that you could try letting the hypnagogic hallucinations simply pass by. Just be a passive observer and a dream scene will probably form on its own. It may not be exactly what you want, but you can still have a great wild. Other than that, its all goodness!

i have got trapped by changing methods so fast and made virtually no progress. I tried Lucidology, OBE4U, Robert Bruce method, Gateway experience. The good thing is, that I have better knowledge about this phenomena, the bed thing is that my develepment has been delayed. See you.
