Hello to everyone at dreamviews from England.

Hello to all my fellow dreamers. I can see that you are all doing amazing dreamwork here and that you take dreaming seriously so I have decided to become a member. My own experiences are quite varied and range between advanced LD's and no dream recall whatsoever. I have kept a dream journal for the past five years and have found it a useful tool. The more one pays attention to the dream experience, I have found, the better one becomes at remembering dream content. There becomes a time when the dreamer begins to notice dream material in much more detail, including such things as the position of seemingly unimportant items such as doors and windows. You begin to realise that drawn drapes at a dream window, as opposed to open drapes, can alter the interpretation of a dream.

I have had a variety of experiences with LD's including what I think you people call WILD's. It often feels as if I actually get sucked into another dimension through tunnels that I call vortices and where the surrounding dreamscape is made up of evolving surfaces of the most striking 'psychedelic' colours. I would like to go into more detail about my experience,s but not today as I just wanted to introduce myself.

I also wanted to let you in on my first experiment with supplements. I bought a copy of Thomas Yuschak's book called 'Advanced Lucid Dreaming', sub-titled The Power of Supplements. After some initial scepticism, I also bought a supply of some of the supplements in the book. I must say, at this point, that the book is well written and researched, which is an important factor for me because 'I am not easily led up the garden path' as we say in England. I have performed two personal dream experiments up to date and can assure fellow travellers and sceptics alike that it works. As I write this I cannot help but wear a smile on my face as the LD experiences flash through my mind. If anyone would like further details I would be happy to answer your questions.

The point to keep in mind when using supplements and which Thomas stresses in his book is that you must follow the recommended preparation and dosage techniques and pay particular attention to what he says about (a) REM Sleep/NON-REM Sleep balance and (b) Avoiding Sensitization. As I said before, the book is well rsearched and the author has tested these claims out on himself so he knows what he's talking about.

The final point that I would like to make is that it is consoling to me to find a society of dreamers in a world that has been in deep NON-REM sleep for too long. Lets keep up the practice of dreaming as lucidly as possible and maybe one day we might all meet up during our future dream works and create something beautiful together.

Well, welcome to Dreamvies, nightfly! You seem much more experienced in lucid matters than I am. I don't believe supplements are necessary for lucid dreams, which is why I answered "no" for the poll. Practice makes perfect, right? Or, at least, perfect practice does.

Thanks Tsirist. Have read your checklist. Very interesting. May I ask whether the items on your list are your personal objectives, or suggestions from members of the team? I ask because being new here I'm not sure yet how the system works.

Hey! Welcome to the fantastic community of Dreamviews! I hope to see your around! I don't think I would be willing to try supplements like pills but food or something like that I would be willing to try (As long as it's not meat). Supplements are pretty interesting though. Good luck on your lucid dreaming

Thankyou for your interest Mancon123. This looks like a community of proper night-owls. Looking forward to finding my way about and meeting new friends.
