      Hi! I'm new here.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. For years I've had random lucid dreams. I've never met anyone else that has had them. Gradually with each one I've learned to control it more and more. But whenever I TRY to attain lucidity I never succeed. Throughout the day I do "reality checks" so I would do them in a dream. I go to sleep telling myself I'm going to sleep that where I am next will be a dream... but all to no avail. It only happens randomly. My most common activity when lucid is to fly.

For those that have semi-regular lucid dreams, what is your most common activity when lucid?

      Hi, welcome to Dreamviews!

When you do your reality checks, do you really stop and consider the possibility that you're dreaming? Since you've had lucid dreams before, you might recall thinking along the lines of "why didn't I notice that I was dreaming before this?". It's good to mimic the spontaneous lucidity you get all of a sudden when in a dream, in real life. You could be dreaming at any moment, so you have to make sure you question everything, and at any time.

When I'm lucid my favorite activities are talking to characters from movies, flying, eating, and fighting.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hey! Thanks for the welcome!

No, I don't really consider the reality very much when I do the checks. My small checks range from tapping surfaces, noticing smells, to looking at something and trying to make it levitate or think of myself flying. That's so I notice how things feel, sound, smell, and if I do make something levitate or I fly... then I can become lucid.
When I wake up I almost always think to myself "How did I NOT realize I was dreaming???" lol
