Question First LD, too excited and woke up immediately.

Had my first LD this morning (at least the first in years and the first since starting a program)... went to sleep at about 4am, had to go to a meeting at 9, for about half an hour, came back home and slept for a few hours (I don't normally do this, I usually sleep ~ midnight - 8am - 9am).

Anyway, I was having a really vivid dream where I was driving along a road with snow on it (its winter where I live and I ski a bit - had been reading about snow conditions before I went to bed the night before). Suddenly I came to an impossibly steep (but short) hill and thought to myself, "...it doesn't matter that its steep, I will easily make it up because I'm dreaming - hey I I'm dreaming!". I then got really excited, felt strong vibrations all over and worried that I was about to wake up - which I then did

Really happy about having a LD in only a couple of weeks of journaling and doing reality tests (and not being all too disciplned about it yet), but worried that I woke up so quickly, as I remember the last LD I had years ago (I've only had three in my life that I can remember) the same thing happened.

Any thoughts, advice on how to avoid getting too excited and waking up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

      Cheers,
      Dan

Yep, it happens normally, the excitement wakes us up. Don't worry, as it was your first LD, the expertise and experience really counts.
Next time you realize as LDing, try to stay calm, do deepening and stabilization techniques.
      Good Luck!!!
