I just discovered this site and lucid dreaming. As I'm sure is the case with many others, Inception is what first turned me onto lucid dreaming. I have no recollection of ever hearing about it before, but it fascinates me. Not only am I new to lucid dreaming, I feel like a pretty novice dreamer as well. My memory of dreams is so far and few between that it's though I hardly dream at all. I know this isn't the case, but it sure seems like it. As I've started reading up on dreaming in general, I've started keeping a dream journal. Since I've started, I've recalled a total of.....3 dreams! Ha! I've only done this for about a week, so I don't expect much more. My goal for now is to educate myself more on dreams (including lucid ones) and try to recall and record more as they come. |

Home is where your heart is.
woohoo i'm new too ! first of all, Inception was awesome. Secondly, at first, I would only remember 2 or 3 dreams tops for one entire week. But now it's weird when I don't remember at least 2 dreams each night. What I like to do, is read through my dream journal before I go to sleep. Just some advice from a fellow newbie that might work ! |

hi kellyakabilly, keeping a journal definately helps keep you more focused. personally i had my first l.d by accident. i just sort of realised that something wasnt right and thought, i wonder if im dreaming. that was my first. when you first get to fly it will blow you away. havent seen inception yet is it any good |

I actually rarely wake up during the night, so this leaves opportunities for recall to usually just the morning. I do keep the journal on my nightstand to write down anything that I do remember the moment I first remember it. Like I've said, I've only tried this for about a week, so I don't expect immediate results. I've also been taking time reading up on dreaming and starting reality checks. |
