Would these be good vitamins to aid dream recall

I read in a post once that vitamin b6 helps you remember dreams, so I looked at the vitamins I'm supposed to take, and they have 2mg of b6

So would these help at all? I normally have very bad dream recall (I remember a good one every month or so)

I can't find a link to the type of vitamins they are, it seems like the default centrum brand though (I spent 20 minutes trying to find a model number xD)

You can find B6 in any Walmart.

It could help, but it's not a guarantee. The best way to increase your recall is to keep practicing and write down as much of your dreams as you can every morning. In time you will see progress.

As far as B6, it's not hard to find at a grocery store As far as when or how much to take, start off small. Some people take it before going to bed, but personally if I take it early in the night I'll wake up and be unable to fall asleep again, so I take it after about 4-6 hours of sleep. If you want to give it a shot, it won't hurt you, but as with all chemicals and supplements, use sparingly and see how you react to it.

But is the 2mg in these vitamins good? (It says on the box 100% for whatever that's good for)

      Are sure it wasn't 200mg?

What other experience do you have in recall?

      Oh, and welcome to DreamViews

Well, the melatonin I have is 50mg. I think the average bottle (of just B6, not the multi-vitamins) has 100mg pills.

I never really had good dream recall until this week, before this week I'd remember a dream every month, while before I'd remember little to nothing (However this week even w/o vitamins I've remembered a bunch)

Also thank you =] - I've been lurking around for a year or so, and I didn't realize this was my first post xD

Oh, so this is extremely little compared to what normal b6 vitamins have =/

Well that's probably why. Looks like some kind of multi-supplement. A straight up b6 supplenment should have around 50mg, no more than 100mg. I got mine from CVS pharmacy (sorry, no picture). I wish you luck on your journey.

What does b6 do anyway (Not just for dream recall, but for your body in general?)

      MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is important for maintaining healthy brain function, the formation of red blood cells, the breakdown of protein and synthesis of antibodies in support of the immune system.

Note how it says "brain function".

I know they are often found in energy drinks. Energy drinks are suppose to make you feel more alert and focused, so I can see how this would work.

I don't think those would help me sleep though xD

Anyway, my mom probably won't let me get foreign vitamins, but thanks for answering all the questions =]
